Premium Member The Ghost Of A Guitar Solo

Hanging out on stage a gentle ghost,
I hear you as rookie hands play guitar.
There’s a hint of devil in an angel’s solo.

Wrapped up in someone else’s solo,
he was too lost to jam without your ghost.
The fish was caught as he held the guitar.

Animated by the strings on your guitar
maybe he knew it was never his solo.
Hard rain blew in and woke that ghost

I’m haunted by the ghost of a guitar solo.

A Hundred Thorns

April plays a foolish part,
A warm embrace that tricks the heart.
While showers promise flowers soon,
I find a hundred thorns by June.

A chaotic peace, a subtle clash,
Bright tulips turning into ash.
Where silence wins and pride prevails,
The sweetest dream of summer fails.

The morning dew drops to the past,
As everything is moving fast.
I finally untie the knot,
To treasure my own solo shot.

WhatEver equivalent to Solo

Never knew this was real
it's kinda like something unspecail
there is no you and I
My awareness of being single
she smiles like a devil
glad to bruise my ego
happy to keep me lonly
an emotional destroment
but whats better than this
the discount makes it a gift
My status still single!

Premium Member The Fascination of Our Solo Ways

Life breathed into us by the Creator
dependent on our mamas ‘til we
                       take our first tentative steps

              though so soon we fly
to the far reaches of the cosmos
up and away, physical and intellectual play

tethered to Earth by jobs which pay
                   for the fascination of our
                      solo ways

Premium Member Solo Piano

Floating on a gentle breeze
I heard it call my name
Beckoning me closer
to the window whence it came

It worked its magic through the air
as other sounds all ceased
A strange hypnotic message
every note, another feast

The tune repeated daily
in my head throughout the week
Each note, described a feeling
together, they did speak

And when she stroked the keys again
they traveled a new trail
Good or bad or happy
Solo piano told the tale

Premium Member The Ayatollah Flies Solo

Don’t feel sorry for the Ayatollah
Just ‘cos that old man has to fly solo

Yes, he’s got to make a buck
But he is not out of luck

They say he’s a fine amateur bowler

Liberation

Humans are said to be social beasts,
A concept blended in Greece.

It seeps into the crumpled eyes,
Flowing down heavily through the body.

A solo artist, scattering unique wildness,
Is like a gentle breeze.

A Solo Heart

I was always on my own
even when i was deserted by you
for months, your silence haunted me
and a battle continued to rage in my heart
as i set out to seek the answers-
"are you there? are you alive?"
that futile simmer turned gray
which was meant to be full of love
i held meetings in my mind
my heart was asking to believe you
but my mind concluded you betrayed me

Premium Member Solo Heart

Am I wrong?
Always drifting left when the world turns right,
Like a compass drawn to storms instead of light.

Am I wrong?
For trusting the beat of my own internal song,
Even if silence is the chorus all along.

I move to the rhythm only I hear,
Not chasing thrill rides they hold dear.

I'm not blind,
I’m just tuned to a different spark,
Finding sunrise even when I walk through dark.

At times I'm alone, that's the price I pay,
But solitude sings in a deeper way.

Am I wrong?
For believing in my hands to shape the clay,
Carving a path no one dared to lay.

Knowing I’ve got to lead and do my part,
Even if the march begins with a solo heart.

Am I Wrong?

Solo

Yesterday filled my cup
Tonight I go solo

Today I refill my soul
Just me and myself

Self-care is today’s business
Recharging my spent innards

Tomorrow back into the wild
Next week back to the pile

Never alone with faith
Just me and my God

I need today to face tomorrow
Future requires loving the present

Solo

Eating a burger.
Lettuce falls out.
A week likes to be that way.
The sky is like a funeral.
Uncomfortable.
Gripping the arm rests.
On this rocket ship.

I live alone.

I have a bag of clothes that I don’t wear much.
That I used to wear sometimes.
Means a lot to me.
That old t-shirt?
I remember everything.
Except the hospital.
And what noon is.

Someone like me.
Who has headaches.
And rubber arms.
Like me.
A whole planet like me.

This solo investigation.
They didn’t give me anything.
Not even a raincoat.
To travel to Mars and other places.

Yet I-
Remembered to bring a pen and notebook.
Into the flat landscape.

Solo

Dawn’s come again
Bringing rain by me
I see a friend
Now wand’ring free

I see again
A sun so gold
Nothing can mend
This sorrow never sold

Coming once again
A dark so deep
Away cannot send
The darkness of sleep

Living a simple life with little distraction

Premium Member Solo

Today the sun has hidden
Its warmth in the foggy mist
A clever way to fool humans
And creatures that it is going to rain
Humidity rises but still it’s gray
And dry a nonessential creation
The trees leaves are inverted
Waiting for showers of water
To no avail the skies are dry
The flowers petals are closed
Begging for an eruption
A drop of water
To wet them and
Feed the soil
Birds are searching for
Drinking pools and puddles
To bathe and wet their beaks
Mouths open and dry
Still the skies remain dry
