Brief explanations;
The golden or gold snub-nosed monkey is a pet. As pets they are playful, smart, affectionate.
This animal has a range of unusual vocal styles including a howl or a whine.
As a primate it can endure harsh winters in Asia which explains my use of artic and icecap in the overall haiku sequence.
Broadleaf as in broadleaf tree.
IF YOU PULL A LONG FACE : Part ***
IF you pull a long querulous face
At the way Life makes you dire pay
For doubts and questions slaps your face
Fear keeps you from getting out-of-here
If you pull a long-damned face
Why woes and wails end not today
At your meek efforts scoffs the face
E'en Man-made-Laws prolong delay
If you keep pulling that angst-long face
Your duties to dear-ones holds you prey
Hereunder parcours written on tortured face
Corridor of Fortune mid Mother-Father ear
If you then can pull this long-stretched face
Cheek-bone nose shape Fa-ling lines down ear
Snub-nosed Socrates quaffed hemlock in disgrace
Contours of Fate circulate face year by lunar year
So if you must pull a long DNA mirror-face
Hide plastic surgery face under mask or clay
How long Bushmen took to Chinese their race
Yet let the few alter Nature through fore-play

I bought a new Car of creamy color
after a long time I wished
but needed a an expert driver
Searched and I got an young one
with the grace of God
for a month's trial he was employed
I saw every morning with my smiling eyes
took care of it even my wife cries
because that was my sweet dream car
One day, I am and my driver started
Car was on speed and CD player was on
up wards a hilly top so nice was that spot
Suddenly, heard a sound...drum... Car stopped
for a few seconds our mind was blocked
struck with a big rock seen snub nosed lovely car
I hold my head high to the blue Sky
Thanked God for saving us, loss was no matter
we returned to our home, my wife again cried

SCORNED ELEPHANT
Squat and stuck
On the flat wetted
Skid-streaked take-off strip
Snub-nosed Jumbo sprawls about dissipated
Under the beery stares of uncouth deriding youth.
Swine scorn a pearl, greedily grubbing for acorns.
How can they know lustre outlives lust?
Their ignorant grunts are taken for granted.
Prima ballerina now she’ll dance
Gaily gaining speed she’ll start to prance
Leaping up the air will free her swift
Graceful strength not seen but felt in lift
Two wings full spread to soar in pride
Shimmering sheen of pure pearl
Diminishing sight, the freedom girl
Fast bound to America by knots untied.
...............................................................
Note.
Observng people in a foreign airport, mocking American values, I saw the Jumbo jet as the symbol of US life. First verse is unrhymed for the foreigners, second verse is rhymed with run-on lines for the American values - freedom and untied knots.
Reflection's Of My Yesterdays
Pop's Has a lot to say about hot shots of today, To the snot nosed teens,
Blamed on parents of today
Time to hang your badge full of pride to the tune of a new tide, Time to
salute your fellow cops Good-Bye!
As you no longer carry a snub nosed thirty eight by your side, As
your days on the beat are thru,
In my dreams I can still see that little boy
crying out to the "Lord for you, Still to this day he cry’s for affection as
your the reflection, He always seen in between the glass
as you waved Good-Bye!
Dad Guess I just admired you for so very long, As my heart still hides
from Love ,Must be true only the tough will survive.
Only this time my wife is along for the ride, And I see sadness In her eyes,
I must make this love survive, Or happy Trails are
waving Good-Bye like the reflection of my yesterdays!
The small hippopotamus
Has taken his grandmother's glasses,
Has taken his father's hat and scarf,
And a portfolio his uncle's briefcase.
He put all of the clothing on himself,
Picked up the briefcase,
has looked in a mirror,
Has scratched his own snub-nosed nose
and said, "Well, now I am grown up!"
("Well, now I am an adult!)
