Seasonal Joys

double etheree

Watch
for spring
to roll round
at Easter time.
Resurgence of green
starts to wake up the world.
Warmer days tag chilly nights
saluting sunshine and showers.
Familiar trees and bushes blossom.
Spring begins to re-cultivate our minds
from the intermission of winter’s freeze.
Winter is harsh but with good reason
nature knows to slow down and rest.
Winter is stark yet she’s skilled -
sidetracking us with snow
and wiping out pests.
on winter's watch
we broadcast
Christmas
joy.

Imperfections

IMPERFECTIONS

why do they want you more
now that you have left than
they have ever wanted
you before

does the pain of you leaving
give them some kind of
perverse pleasure

are they more afraid of living
than of dying alone the
way you chose to go ?

it’s no accident…
songs that sell
the most are sad
sidetracking
bouncing beams
deflecting
realities
we need to know

Echo

ECHO

nymph of note
your mountain voice rebounds
as it resonates your vanity
enticing echo’s alluring invite
beguiling tantalizing tease
tempting Zeus

weaving your words
of sidetracking diversion
amusingly entertaining wives
freeing their spouses to ravish
 captivating seducing tease
tempting nymphs

detecting your tricks
Hera’s fierce retribution as
colorful conversations she muted
 replacing with foolish repetitions
your only communication now
irrational duplication

AN OBTUSE

ECHO

In Greek mythology “Echo” was a mountain nymph who loved the sound of her own voice.
She used it to attract Greek gods and torment their wives… until the wife of Zeus,
Hera,
Un-earthed deception and sought retribution

Song of Worship and Adoration

The sound of my
name on your
thin, nervous lips commands
attention sidetracking
my thoughts everytime

Your eyes are
praying
for devastation and begging for
relief. As I
approach you I
feel
the urge to haunt you till
you surrender to my
unspoken
wishes once for all.

I shall
demand idolatry
from you and blind
devotion, I shall
force you to worship my
mind through
your body and offer your
soul unwrapped
as a proof of
submission, I will
push you to thankfully
loose
yourself in me

And then you
will
become my idol.
