A donkey, mule, sidekick and ass
Are they the same or does one have more class?
I wish I knew
It makes me blue
Whatever the answer, please let them pass.

This is my companion
to the left of me.
Everlong by my side
in lifes travail
and heart to heart
in worlds apart.
This is my guardian
and my servant dearest
whatever his size.
This is my watcher
by the windowpane
foretelling the visitors
and mocking the postman
in his luminesce apparel.
This is my nights last seen face
and my mornings first pace.
This is my companion,
my dog.

The Sonnet Man really needs a side kick,
But not a side kick that wants to fight crime.
I need one to come in at the right time,
And shatter things like a very wide brick.
Just like a witch, who knows how to ride sticks,
I need a chick who knows how to write slime,
Not expecting to get paid a bright dime,
Like someone who wants to be my pride pick.
I need a side kick who can kick some butt,
Or at least can kick up a little ink.
One who is not afraid, no matter what,
Of what anyone could possibly think.
One with words that will hit you in the gut,
Before you are even able to blink.

If I had to choose a partner in crime,
Why on earth would I choose another guy?
I would rather have a girl any time,
And you really do not have to ask why.
Which friend with benefits would I employ?
Wonder Woman can fly across the world,
But a Superwoman I could enjoy,
Or someone like Catwoman or Batgirl.
I need someone who proves their relevance,
Displaying powers I have not seen yet,
Or someone who controls the elements,
So I can see how wet a Storm can get.
With so many ways down time could be spent,
These crime fighting friends would be heaven sent.
