Winged Workout
I wish I were kissing you,
the butterflies in my stomach
need some exercise
golden winged seer christen love
turtle doves crave gilding speer
searing tip unleash caged heat
melting bleating hearts
grebes run on the lake
love has its playful moments -
pleasure with winged feet
* grebes - freshwater birds

Tiny winged spirit
singing to a far-off gleam
is ready to fly
in the clear sky of peace.
The sun will vanquish darkness.

As sure as scientists ask why
and winged creatures fly
Politicians will lie ~
and soldiers will die
See that winged fellow
His arrow poised to let fly
Better take more careful aim
Last love hit in rear
Seagulls
winged scavengers
cleaning coastal waters
loud, extremely quarrelsome birds
scroungers.
He gave to me a lovebird
to brighten my lonely hours.
Gift of love's embodiment
the key to my heart.

Feeling like a winged one
Poised high above the skyline
looking down at the lights of this life
slightly timid of frail wings
fat, winged babies are cupid
we all know this is, it's nothing new
dogmatically annoying me with ads is stupid
I'm bidding you adieu.
A man once was a lover
Of the noisy Spur-winged Plover
But when walking his dog
Hid under a log
As its swooping made him take cover.
Floating on the winds
of summer, he glides with ease
towards the flowers;
selecting one he fancies,
monarch sits upon his throne

Hieroglyphic skies
birds draw
emerald lines
Wind combes
ashen
colored clouds
Sun is
a kite
sailing
Through
open winged
horizon
eyes behold weath of
garden's beautiful treasures
flowers winged and scented

A Poet Who Loves To Sing
Winged shadow over yellow moon
cold stars glow against deepening blue
Icy breath hovers like drifting steam
Silent talons end winters dream
Silver hair still shines-
a nesting place for wisdom
and ageless beauty.
Born of prismatic, white light-
haven to winged, flying thoughts...
Winterberries hang overhead
With which arbor hold delightful red.
Wind upward warmth thread;
Winged fairies wed, fluttered, and fled.
in blankest hour of night, a monarch sashays on winged dance...flaming the sky.

“When a cardinal appears in your yard, it’s a visitor from heaven.”

Daylight begins with a sweet chorus of angels with wings
Why are my wings oiled
The carelessness of BP
Cannot be undone
Man's quest for black gold
Destroys the sea I once soared
My flock endangered
blue winged canopy
of a thousand butterflies
can not compare to
the fluttering of my heart
when your eyes and mine are one
