Premium Member The Derby of Dilly
Whinging Willy sure felt silly
Placing a wager on a chestnut filly
Who ran around all willy nilly
Bringing up the rear in the Derby of Dilly...

Mute Point
You whine, you moan, complain and groan,
on & on, a cyclic whinging drone.
I listen patiently – what a glutton.
But how I wish you had a mute button....

Bare Finger
His finger is really quite bare;
The ring is no longer on there,
But he's used to it now
And he sees she's a cow -
No dripping about her affair.

*dripping – beef fat or slang for whinging

for PD's contest...

A Rant
What would I want to say,
If I could rant today?
Don't waste your time, okay!
No hard feelings, my way,
No need to be dramatic,
Whinging is pathetic,
Sniveling I ignore, my way,
Ain't misbehaving, anyway,
Don't snivel about chicks.
Off buns, other birds exist!...

Once They Come To An End
Everyday, the same old thing,
Whinging for this and that,
Never being thankful,
For the loved ones we have.

We want everything,
Everything everyone has,
But we're never being thankful,
For the loved ones we have

One day someone is lost,
A mother, father or friend,
And we're only ever thankful,
Once they come to an end....

Premium Member A Greek Tragedy
I knew an old woman from Greece Whose whinging words would seldom cease She’d constantly whine When drunk on red wine Her husband’s in dire need of peace! How much cash does a Grecian earn - such questions I tried hard to spurn Her husband went mad and did something bad - she’s interred in a Grecian urn! 8/20/19

Toughen Up
Whinging is contagious around here,
I just never met Mr. Right, my dears,
But I have met some right players,
Like loverat Mr. Liar,
or Mr. Asshole, too bad,
Then there is Mr. Player,
or Mr. Asshole, too bad,
Then there is Mr. Douchebag,
Yes, whinging is contagious here,
Too bad I never met Mr. Right, my dears,
Never mind, that's enough,
Being bullied toughens you up!...

Soliloquy
I know this sounds like a soliloquy,
But why did bulldust men find me?
God made Ratlotto sardonically,
Life's booby prizes always find me,
Now 70 years old is the new young,
O God of funster fun,
Is it them or me?
Yes indeed, my soliloquy,
Is it them or doormat me?
Whinging is fun for us,
No one's listening to this fuss,
Dear God of Ratlotto's booby prizes,
Any more masculine surprises?...

Armageddon Or Not
A thought on my neuron is impinging,
If it ain't Armageddon, do stop whinging,
"A happy heart makes a cheerful face,"
A notion apt for our global race,
Smiles to each one are a grace,
Blessing to all as we set our pace,
Way too much negativity,
Largely a waste of futility,
Instead of daily positivity,
Way too much 'stinking thinking',
If it ain't Armageddon, do stop whinging,
This thought on my neuron is impinging....

--------------

I only tell of sunny hours...
A s u n d i a l, I live for sun.
I want all humans to concentrate
on what is good and fun.

I only tell of hours in sun,
and people look at me.
I am blessed with the sun's grace
so noble, and I plea

that humans never concentrate
on damp and dark and dingy,
but look at my enameled face
and take step back from whinging.

Premium Member Williams Whinging Wife
William had a whinging wife.
William was a fool.
When she begged him for some water,
For too wet her whistle.
William tossed her in the pool.

William’s wife Wilma,
Looked at life quite starkly.
She whimpered and she whined.
While William was the whimsical kind;
Full of whigmaleerie and malarkey.

William had the wherewithal,
Which made them quite wealthy.
Wilma was no whiffler,
And didn’t merely whinny.
She whinged about her William and his methodology....

Not Again
Once was I a teen,
That's when Mum got mean,
Dragged us off on long drives,
Her whinging did give me hives,
Maybe she could not hack us growing,
Autonomy we wanted knowing,
We tried not to be like our mother,
Turned each into totally another,
Nag, nag, nag and moan,
Not again! I'd sit at home,
With music and a fur pal,
A book, a pen, a suburban gal....
So, in half a century,
Not much changed for me,
 I sit and scribble, solo,
But never alone, my muse, lo!...
