I knew an old woman from Greece Whose whinging words would seldom cease She’d constantly whine When drunk on red wine Her husband’s in dire need of peace! How much cash does a Grecian earn - such questions I tried hard to spurn Her husband went mad and did something bad - she’s interred in a Grecian urn! 8/20/19

"Interred in a Grecian urn"! serves her right for whining. BTW Keats ode to same is one of my very favorite poems. Thanks, Jan, for the stop by. The animal poems I'm posting are part of my unpublished childrens book "Fun with Animals." / M

lol... this is witty and fun, love the twist in the second one, let's blame the wine, rather than the whine....i have never been able to write a limerick so admire ones that flow nicely and leave you with a chuckle... hugs :)
