farm boy's daydream
acres of wheat fields
turning golden in the sun
not these upsetting rows
of waving green tobacco
All lies may flourish and thrive like a fragrant flower
But like weeds amongst golden wheat, they have a defining hour

The moments of these days…
the wheat from the chaff
Each choice confirmation

Wadding in summer heat
Waving flowing sea of wheat
Waves of green smell sweet

My wheat ringlets
join my grandmother's thick dark hair
— incompatible
to those who throw stones
and call me "white Indian"
oozing with warm sweet butter
full of lovely yeast
hot from grandmother’s oven
pumpernickel too
warm hot and tasty
wheat and rye

Endless hills sprawl on and on,
Stretching horizon to horizon,
Here comes the dawn,
The hills sprawl on,
And bend in breezes to the sun.
Red splash of colour
Golden field of wheat, stupor
Silent micro feet
Atmospheric mackerel sky
Unhurried kind of beauty.
color of ripe wheat
images of sandy hair
no love without tears

wind slashes wyoming wheat field
blades of windmill spinning furiously
animals find shelter under bridge
rain slams down, breaking stalks
no mercy
Shredded Wheat really does it for me
So yummy right down in my tummy
It reacts so sublime
As I'll know it good time
That once again we just won't agree
I first saw her in the wheat fields,
as faint as a whisper,
as arresting as the sun,
making her way through the straw,
with the straw, she was one.
He wanted whole wheat not rye
The sloppy sandwich made him cry
He knocks the plate on the floor
Then decides to order more
His sandwich was extremely dry
I have been running from store to store
Searching for cereal I adore.
Quaker’s puffed wheat
Favorite treat
But I cannot find it any more.

Flowers are wheat
Flour is draught
Unmixed it flies
Mixed it builds up
Bread for its eaters
Two hands divide
Unity in diversity

The flying wheel spins,
screams of kids terrify me,
I hope they are fine
I hope they are fine
with hair sticking out like wheat,
" Stop that flying wheel! " I scream.
There was a young librarian
Who's strictly vegetarian
For her wheat and Kale makes a meal complete
while her beau needs meat to eat
Says she; now that's just barbarian
Golden wheat planted
amongst lowly grasses
Must learn to withstand
life's stormy weather

The flying wheel spins,
screams of kids terrify me...
I hope they are fine.
I hope they are fine,
with hair sticking out like wheat...
" Stop that flying wheel!" I scream.
This limerick could be quite a chiller;
as a movie would be a nice thriller.
Who set fire to the wheat?
Leaving stubble and heat -
I hope they catch the cereal killer.
A tiny seed falls
down to earth
which to a stalk
one day gives birth
The stalk is wheat
from which folks eat
