Funny Mismatch

She's too short and he's too tall
When they kiss, their braces mix
Hard to untangle, twisting
Smiling, they giggle.

Doors and Mistakes

To be well, is to have Doors opened
             close the inapt doors
             attempt to do it right
            untangle from the mistakes

Bra Sighs

A girl caught in her boobie trap
Struggled to untangle a strap
The preacher yelled, "Whoa!
It seems you don't know ...
Do I need to draw you a map?"

I'M Watching the Detectives

I so love my investigative angle
Peoples lives I so love to untangle
I thank my Auntie for this
Taggart in Scotland was bliss
Watching the Detectives, was my handle

A Haven of Order

In this tangled web of chaos, trying to untangle my being of this spider's lacework; if my soul will just assent to a haven of order. 11/2/2014

My Maze of a Mind

Mazes I've learned are not amusing
My brain has become one of the most confusing
My thoughts are now tangled up in each other
A larger mess is made as I try to untangle one from another

Sinking

As depression sinks in,
you ask whats wrong.
my mind floods with answers
all the wrong ones
my mind drowns in lies
all too dumb to say
my mind dies in confusion
too insane to untangle.

Kinetic Typeface Karma

Kinetic journalist
words swerve in outlooks
Stashing produce
In an overproduced monkey-fist world

Our evolution spells
Desertion or soil-reversing
To untangle the fist
And document inner bliss

All of You

I wish you would
take a breath; exhale,
let the knots in your
stomach untangle;
let us see you unravel,
all of you.
There is no shame in
letting us love you,
letting us love
all of you.

Lies

It starts with little white lies
Ever hungry, deception feeds on itself

A monster with a grip that won’t let go
Webs become impossible to untangle

Words that never see the light of truth
Bound with the silken thread of deceit

New Dawn Is Here

i
untangle
my love
from your
silence
nocturnal dreams
withdrawn heart
of rain
surfacing wants
waves are rising
lost frontier
remnants of the
war of love
you
rise and fall
digging deeper
half closed
eyes
salty saliva
new dawn
is here

Keep Walking

Go on your way
My beloved daughter,
turn aside from the swerving path;
untangle your gaze
to center on Christ.
Stand in courage,
hugging wisdom.
Protect your thoughts
leaning upon pureness of the heart,
release what's behind
and you shall walk on in joy.

Gone Away

We were lying in the sand,
With our hands locked
You were looking at me as I was staring at the sun
Why can I see it?
You untangle your hand from mine
Then the sun disappears
I turn to look at you,
but you are gone too
What did i ever do wrong?
Is it me or is it you?

Tetractys Feb 17

Three
score ten
to travel,
life's a puzzle
we unpick,untangle and unravel.

NOTE:The challenge with Ray Stebbing's tetractys form is -that each line is required 'to stand on its own ' & the poem itself is to express a complete thought, within the narrow compass of 20 syllables.

Interchange

embrace the darkness

for it knows the light

squeeze and hug the clasp

untangle threads of false caress

hold on to the journey

take a seat on the ride

then pull the clutch

release and cuddle up

kiss away lost connection

align shadows and lustre

Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire Written: by Tom Wright 8/26/2019 Limerick I once knew a man with a penchant to wangle, Every story he told was from a left field angle. Always with a slight grin, He’d just apply more spin, The yarns he would spin I could never untangle.

Fate

Oh! A shilly-shally puzzle it is
an oracle's unfulfilled prophecy
a snarl of vagrant kind it is.
A riddle quite hazy to resolve.
May the impending morrows,
untangle this weird rune.
May the tale bearer blurt out
the augury of my future.
Can it be a mirth or gloom?
The all knowing superior deity
laughs at my uncanny anxiety.

Co

Co.

Breath intertwined, mine his.
Gulps visceral
Hold it, hold it, hold it. Please.

Hair tickles chin, coarser now.
Hand hooked. Grip for protection. Mine, his? Discomfort hits after a time of cocoon - untangle a limb, like once before.

The prising of sweat-dampened skin. Skin
that had been forced together. Forced apart.

Spark of Firedrake

Timberland
That
Of her spirit
Cribs mildly
Fairness about
Living organisms
And
Flowering plant

Within
Bees hum
Birds flutter
Gnawers
Are not so
Quiet and mystery
As arachnoids
Untangle their cobwebs

And
Within her mind
She generates
The sun
Gleaming from her
Soul
To yours

Makin Rice Krispy Treats

' Twas entangled in marshmallows. Trying to make rice Krispie's. That could share with goodfellows. Maybe should have tried Swiss cheese. A system tried to develop. Waxed paper didn't untangle. Many emotions did swell up. Hand, mouth, tongue 'twas entangled

Show Me the Divine Path

How should I navigate my days, facing myriad obstacles,
In a world where countless paths beckon a wandering soul?

My spirit finds itself adrift, praying for divine guidance,
As my vessel rocks on the tumultuous seas, seeking the true course.

Untangle my heart's desires, seek tranquility's grace,
Remind me, arrival empty-handed, departure's embrace.

Marionette

Marionette

Never locked
The door is open
pet me, untangle me
Twistin’ and gropin’
Positioned, the curtains rise
Pull I stand, proud
Push I sit, shy
Tug here… My hands raise
You open my mouth to praise
Jiggle that string
I walk away
Stop and still, and I stay
Manipulation
Control
Inside
Hollow
Eyes don't see
Ears don't hear
Close the curtain
I'm not here

Wuhan Devils

It's a blessing that we're all wearing masks
because in all honesty, there wasn't many smiles going around
in the first place.
at least with a mask, we can imagine a hidden smile.

I've never seen so many people so tangled up in themselves.

Until we can learn to untangle ourselves from ourselves
I think we should continue wearing masks
long after the Wuhan flu devils have fled.

What Would I Tell You

What would I tell you?
You held out your hand for mine,
best to remain .blissfully unaware;
Bury everything before it awakens;

You held out your hand for mine,
stir it up easier to swallow;
Bury everything before it awakens,
untangle my tongue-tied words;

Stir it up easier to swallow,
best to remain blissfully unaware;
Untangle my tongue tied words,
What would I tell you?
