Society
From one to a mob a person becomes people
An idea becomes action
Results occur
Blame only sticks to individuals
Responsibility dissipates
Pride fuels greed
Exploitation is honorable
Benevolence is a weakness
Restitution is regarded as unearned reward
Oppression does not mature...

To Be King
I often feel the shadow of guilt.
It visits most when walking close.

My aura is my gauge.
Its custom flavors my mood.
My swimming, my drowning, my
Thrashing disbelief.

No hint of disfavor, no eye adrift.
Their obedience reflects the Acceptance of things unearned.

And she said, "It's good to be King."...

Able To Again Exhale
Unearned breath is deposited in to my flesh; I am awake
my eyes are open and are able to view another day.
my limbs allow my walk without crutched assistance,
from my mouth flow my words with no hesitance.
I do not have to stress over food, clothing, or bills,
nor do i doubt any sickness I have, you will heal.
i cannot unerstand why you love me so much
i do not mean a thing without your guiding touch....

Premium Member Delicate Balance - Accident Or Gift
mountains bob like corks
adrift on liquid magma -
pond scum shelters life

Earth’s magnetic shield -
magma’s gift of moving charge
thwarts sun’s deadly winds

continental drift -
neighborhoods fenced by oceans
breed diversity

random mutations
offer death or advantage -
unearned consequence

life’s adaptation
to universe in motion -
the true face of God

Premium Member Rest
The way at times can seem unclear; the world is large: so many paths. Yet where I go, there, you are near, so I exhale, am unconcerned. The only distance in between: the barricades that I erect. I cannot slip your gaze, unseen, a lesson that is oft hard learned. So meld our thoughts today, I plead, and keep me tethered at your side. Thy finished work is all I need, a grateful rest in grace unearned.

Premium Member Oh, I'Ve Been Racking Up N-A's
Oh, I’ve been racking up N/A’s
that I consider unearned praise
just knowing they were viewed and read
before put quietly to bed.

The cause I find upon reflection
is oft my failure to heed direction
for I start writing in my haste
the muse, full speed, to cut and paste

I’ll miss a stanza, rhyme, or form
amidst my fevered writing storm.
I gather N/A’s now and then
and smiling, mutter, Not Again.

S. C. A. Miracle Man July 19, 2021 From the bed of death I once returned, because God had an unfinished work for me. He bestowed more life, and it unearned, I’m alive today by the King’s decree. With death angel stayed, others saw His greatness, as a surgical team faced a near hopeless task. God blessed the Doctors with a great sedateness, and any who disbelieved God did unmask. From New Years Day 2017

New Book
At the beginning of a new book
With the idea of reading and understanding,
I pray my brain does not overcook,
As I am talking and reading.
Flipping pages, the story becomes fun
As each line keeps me laughing
But my mood drops as someone pulls a gun
The stories becomes more like a tragedy
From night falls with an unearned run
My passion is dragged away from the comedy
As a swing my head from left to right with a look
I lost the flow of this beautiful remedy...
