Rest

The way at times can seem unclear; the world is large: so many paths. Yet where I go, there, you are near, so I exhale, am unconcerned. The only distance in between: the barricades that I erect. I cannot slip your gaze, unseen, a lesson that is oft hard learned. So meld our thoughts today, I plead, and keep me tethered at your side. Thy finished work is all I need, a grateful rest in grace unearned.

That's very nice... What is the difference between ordinary rhyme and tail rhyme? I had a poem today in the style of rhyme, I wanted to enter it into your contest, but I couldn't... Besides writing it in a form of stanzas, what's the difference between this style and the rhyme. You can email me, Jeff, as well. Thank you

Hi Pashang I’m a tail rhyme, the last line of each stanza does not rhyme with other lines from the same stanza, it rhymes with the last line from other stanzas. Look at Toyland Battles of mine as well.

This is a beautiful prayer, Jeff - "a grateful rest in grace unearned." That truly is the essence of Easter. Thank you for sharing this gem. Happy Easter!
