Night Sky Ecstasy
Transcended, these mortal feelings
For time and place.
Sucked into this fiery swirling
Ocean of space.

Prevailed on, but intoxicatingly.
As though entranced.
Out of oneself, on life's grand quest *
A soul - romanced.

* For meaning...

Presence of Mind
Memories so vivid
     Feelings so deep
Visceral flashbacks
     Sparked by a song

The essence of time
     Transcended
For a moment
     For just a moment

Is life linear?
     Feelings belie
Back to what is perceived
     As reality...

Land of Dreams
No more my world transcended
Dreams of love have sadly ended
I flew so high like birds on the wing
I knew I could fight and always win
I tried to escape but could not run
Stories changed from horror to fun
That fantasy realm beckons to me
Each night I enter the Land of Dreams...

We Have Transcended Time
Transylvania twilight's, blue blood bridal box....
Nightwing sorcerers gathering at, her ravens dark
Pond crimson silhouettes his dagger pleads; of butterfly
Witches their ouija board breeds ? Spirits, this material world
Craven kings entombed these, conqueror worms: Love's, red rabbits....

That Look Remains
There’s a look…
That look
In a persons eyes,
When they’ve
Transcended
Nationality and race,
Social position
And wealth

In silent visits
They come to pray,
Their bodies
No longer
Controlling their spirit,
But that look,
That look
—remains

Premium Member Crow On Cold Stones
Crow on cold stones

This black being making
A gas station appearance
Intersection traffic
Horns and lights
Sunset shortly
Walking stone to stone..
Ignoring noisy polluted
Starts and stops..
A stoic warrior
In our time of
Heedless searching..

Then he flew and I
Transcended his moment......

As I Sit In the Park
As I sit in the park,
I listen
children laughing , trains passing
birds chirping a good morning chorus
and I am once again, a child
the years transcended

As i sit in the park
I wonder
the amazement of life,
the passage of time
and I realize that I am still a child
with so much more to learn...

Fazed, cold and feeble as someone about to die...not feeling the lulling breeze,
I transcended in a soft sky of tranquility, where all you heard was calm and peace;
two golden angels with shining wings lifted me up with a swift, whooshing thrust
and brought me before the ivory throne of the glorious Christ and Holy Ghost....

Make Mine a Double
This chemical cocktail
with neurotransmitters
pinging and bathing in sweet serotonin
like honey gone melted
transcended, eccentric
compulsory eyes are concocted and bent
Henna tattoos
from a black bellied bowl
still glittering red, crushing dust in the lungs
Bottled receptors
invisible potion
fizzy, instinctive, I want you around....

Premium Member Tribute To Connie
Connie was an inspiration to me for many years.
- her encouragement - her enthusiasm
- her genuine love of poetry - her finding
something to like in every poem she read of mine,
carried me on a journey of learning that transcended
the ordinary act of writing. She inspired and believed in me
and we developed a true and lasting friendship....

Transcending
In a higher realm, you sent an I love you through the universe.
Without speaking a word as you gazed into my soul.
A gaze that transcended a thousand years.
As we telepathically spoke to our hearts.
Knowing that silence actually spoke through the metamorphosis of dimensions.
Love breaking through a parallel universe.
Into a realm of magical allure, combined with sincerity that transcends....

She rolled down her silky sheer stockings
gives him a saucy sexy look,
imaging his hands there instead
gently coursing her trim figure.

Feels his eyes following his hands,
as she submits to her passion.
wishing that he could lay with her
as they transcended to heaven.

Alas it could never be, for he,
was only a marble statue.
Crafted by her, in memory
of the hours they once had shared...

Premium Member Reflections
It seems these portals I stroll past, mark passing glances
in some calculated reveal. All at once, morphing to a silvered
window, reflecting between two worlds. A glance, becomes
a stare, becomes a shift in perception.

                                         hallway mirror
                              transcended by passing years…
                                       my father’s face...

Premium Member There Was a Time
There was a time when
poetry was poetry...if
that makes sense; I mean,
there was a reason for
writing beyond the writing;
and those tools of rhythm
and rhyme, transcended
words, and were divinely
transcribed to bring out
a greater revelation
of spirit and soul--

and, at the least, poetry
was for the young, romantic
heart, to feel wonderfully
young and romantic…
and for the old romantic heart,
to never
feel quite
so old…....

Night Nurse.
In my cold darkly world
where once nothing could be seen
nor heard,
her ripening presence awakened and charmed.

Far into the solitary nights
where sounds transcended into silence,
and desire burned in unknown flames,
her balming voice roamed the dark
and caught me in the quiet.

Even now,the dew of her memory
is wet upon my heart.
So sit i upon a flowery-bed.
I listen to the warm.
I search the faces of the petals;
.......will she ever come?
will she ever come?...

Holy Chocolate
Off to Mass on holiday in Verona only a big note to offer I turned aside Bought a bar of chocolate to receive lesser notes. Beside the service book there in the pew the squares of chocolate with new status in my conscience grew. Together with a lesser note should I offer it? A lady formidable held the plate. At the close of Mass the chocolate transcended into a holy bar - one to be shared confusion squared in both penance and feast.

Back Beat Transcended
Don't look back

In this theater of modernist art

And wish what was

Worth being hung

Worthy off the space on
wall and hanging holes
it was hung

Patronage in thrones have
spent well earned coin to see

In order to say they have

Been kneeling before like the
grace of ages

Was and is till this day

The artist is remembered for

Yet never wishes they we're

Because it was a throwaway

A B-Side track

Never expected to attract

But somehow did...
