The Brawl
They fought tooth and nail
To the amazement of the onlookers
With swollen hills on faces pale;
For brawls are part of night-crawlers...

Better Than Gold
Priscilla - alone in her villa
Was visited by a guerrilla
Although she was frail
She fought tooth and nail
To protect her bean of vanilla*

* My daughter asked me to send
her some fresh Hawaiian vanilla
beans; talk about sticker shock!...

Win Or Die Trying
We might lose the battle
But we sure will win this war
The beacons might fail us
We will miss some or many targets
Yet we shall fight tooth and nail
Until all the defeats succumb to victory.
And even if we fall along the line ,
We died trying!!!...

Appeal Ii
Our reputation,
tooth and nail

Our integrity,
tongue and cheek..

achieving the essential same
dressed up to seem unique.

The appeal is the prize,
but its premise remains mystique..

We love wearing the disguise,
but what really lies underneath?...

They fight tooth and nail all those who don't like

Behind the scenes are plotting how to strike

When see someone to excel

Declare war make his life hell

Till he gives up or pierce him with a pike

Listen to poem:
Just when we thought
wars were well and truly over,
done and dusted -
Russia invades Ukraine.
No mettle for friends
to take up arms.
to don the coat of arms
and fight tooth and nail
to quell the invader.
Instead its alms that are offered
and sanctions to starve and demean
the invader's will to fight.
It's a new World Order
at arm's length....

Leaving
Left at 9am,
hit the rush hour
crawled a few miles
then warp speed to
40 mph.

Pick up some gas station coffee.
Reaching into glove box
spill said coffee over pants.
Made the freeway
pissed off and squabbling,
10 miles on
still bickering.

It's our vacation
the trunks packed solid,

and we will fight tooth and nail

to be carefree and happy
very soon....

Premium Member The Vanity of Pleasure
My sweet sensations in the grind,
To indulge my lot
In idle or hot?!
The tug of war ‘twixt body and mind.

The two’ve been fighting tooth and nail,
Their feud led to naught,
Crass carnal soft spot -
The pleasure’s pull has tipped the scale.

Dear me! Exciting versus plain,
My visceral thought,
Ascetic, I’m not -
I would take pleasure, don’t mind vain....

Motivation Station
We all have to start somewhere.
Brick by brick, tooth and nail, you'll get there.
You might not be a Saul, you might be that apple
So go on and drink from your motivational fountains
You might not build the Taj Mahal or paint the Sistine Chapel,
but you'll move the molehills you've imagined are mountains.

Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey!

Presidential candidates
In tooth and nail fray!
Only God knows the hearts
Of these Leaders!
The king’s heart is His Hands!
Let us pray for a leader
Righteous, sober and true!
Then, our shores will rejoice!
When we seek God’s face
And discern His choice
He will heal our land
And transform our country
Where milk and honey
Flow in abundance!

Fight Injustice Against You
Fight Injustice Against You

Fight all those who stand in your way,
Fight all those who stop us being free.
Charge at them with a clenched fist raised
And watch them cower beneath our feet.

We have the power to let them hurt us,
But we will not let you stop us now.
We shall fight you tooth and nail,
We shall rebel, to show how much we care.

Timeless
Timeless

To the grave I will fight,
tooth and nail, for the right,
to be, 14 years old.

For I am, the stubborn child,
the know it all, I will always be wild,
and will always be, never what I am told.

Years go by, but pay no heed,
time has no dominion over me,
I am as I was, I will always be.

So much time has come, and gone,
Those around me age, before long,
I remain, a child in an old world.

Unbetrothed
Religion and science…
never to wed

Like oil and water,
alone in their beds

While science defends,
ancient dogma portends

Two voices discordant,
to break if they bend

For centuries long
they have fought tooth and nail

Refusing to budge
out of fear that entails

A false understanding,
bells call from within

Where marriage awaits
—espoused unto Him

(The Book Of Prayers: November, 2020)...

Silence
Fearful of the sound,
I fill it with the mundane.
It always comes around,
And it makes me insane.

It feels like I can’t escape,
I wonder why I’m alone.
My mouth lies agape,
But now my cover is blown.

I can’t barely speak.
I can’t even breathe.
My being feels meek,
And it makes me seethe.

No wonder I’m laid bare.
I fought this tooth and nail.
Now it’s all that’s there,
And I know I constantly fail....

War of the Spirit
They live in mortal sin and shame
Between the lines of old and new
As us the righteous good and few
See infidels who aren't the same
How dare they question our belief
Eternal fire is prepared for
The devil and his angel scores
Who claim their brand of truth as chief

Our war is waged victorious
In time our vision shall prevail
Our purest essence, glorious
Barbarians are weak and frail
And we the meritorious
Will fight the battle tooth and nail...
