Timeless

Timeless

To the grave I will fight,
tooth and nail, for the right,
to be, 14 years old.

For I am, the stubborn child,
the know it all, I will always be wild,
and will always be, never what I am told.

Years go by, but pay no heed,
time has no dominion over me,
I am as I was, I will always be.

So much time has come, and gone,
Those around me age, before long,
I remain, a child in an old world.

They say that the trait of stubborness or rebellion can surge a person to become all they can be or it can put them in some very bad places ...One has the right to make choices that will effect the rest of one's life so my advice is to choose wisely..Enjoyed reading this morn..Sara

Hello Sara, I know what you mean and agree. I simply refuse to "grow old" just because a calendar has a particular number on it. I tend to be stubborn in a philosophical way and not as a general character trait. Every day I find wonder in people and in common things. -Stephen
