Leaving
Left at 9am,
hit the rush hour
crawled a few miles
then warp speed to
40 mph.
Pick up some gas station coffee.
Reaching into glove box
spill said coffee over pants.
Made the freeway
pissed off and squabbling,
10 miles on
still bickering.
It's our vacation
the trunks packed solid,
and we will fight tooth and nail
to be carefree and happy
very soon.
