The ashes of merciless reign.

They’ll seat the throne of headless woes,

The guardians of the fallen ten,

The service of shadow less men....

A poem for my endless wish
To create the best literary dish

But for each word I write a thorn pricks me
And my blood changes the tone so miserably

Perhaps next time I'll choose to compose

We were; yes we were!
Brewed for this day.
Innured a yoked thicket.
Offing but at the nose tip
Till we had a stomach full

Receiving more, yet, we keep.
The bitter-tasting dark fluid.
Which settles in our veins.
Blurring our sight
And quaking our feet.

Our feet? Thorned for irrigation
Of blood and sweat.
The flower rejoiced; we winced.
Perseverance replaced our view
As Eldorado floods our sight....

has survived autumns plight
plunged into winter
this rose has might

a decadence array
glimpsed by the moons rays
the thorned friend shall never end
around it's bloom children shall play

the end of yet another season
gives us thought and reason
to ponder the how and why
the plan at mind the overall lesson

that brought forth this flower
in all its glory and power
to end all rivals quest for the same
