Limerick Joke Iv

Funny that I don't recall seeing this comment. I must have been to too many pubs that day!

It was another joke that I had heard and turned into a limerick. And to you--the really great one who shares poetry with her grandchildren. You are the wise one!

Linda, I have been replying for hours (it seems) for the past several days). There is such wonder here. My heart is with you when I read your words. You too have a marvelous sense of humor and piercing intelligence. So, I think I know what you go through here or what you have been through. If you have empathy for people, this can be a challenge.

Age tends to ravage our minds a bit. Things can be dealt with only more slowly. However, the want to laugh and to be true to my inner self is as vibrant and strong as ever if not more so. Just a little visit for the fun of it. I managed to escape unharmed as far as I can tell. The air in the valleys there is polluted with the smoke from fires and the exhaust from vehicles. It's really too bad. The pollution is harming the saguaros.

It is so easy for me to lose sight of that when I have to deal with some narrow minded people. I happen to be in Arizona tonight, and I need to push those folks into a cactus.
