The Rose

A rose blooms bright As the day radiates sunlight From the jagged thorned stem Natural beauty perfumed in colour it extends Used as tokens of love forever With a gentle kiss and a promise tethered Or to remember a loved one When death has finally won. © Paul Warren Poetry
