What ought to have lapsed
A decade ago sluggishly pops;
Antagonist’s claws now thaw
And give way to buoyant hopes.
winter thaw begins
snowdrops peeping through the snow
raising sleepy heads

Shifted child
hither and away
ripped roots clipped
soil untended
uncertain tender shoots
beneath the snow
fear spring thaw
THAW
coming and going
somethings aren't meant to be seen
no longer frozen

A peacock in old Shangri-La
Found his wherewithal did not thaw
He went by the book
So his feathers shook
But aroused his mother-in-law
Cold
winds blow,
fall ends and
winter begins.
Hibernating bulbs
will softly sleep
until the
next spring
thaw.
Winter storm climax
snowfall mounds measured in Yards
Fast moving clouds play
freeze tag with a slow poke sun
a sleepy Spring thaw awakens
Gloom
and doom-
swelling buds
start to give a
thrill-
bark
expands,
contracts and
cracks..in thaw and
chill.

Skatin' on dangerous ground,
Scared someday I'll be found,
My feet through the ice,
Don't think that'd be nice
When the spring thaw comes around
across jade dew grass...
quick barefoot numbing stumbles -
warm lips bid heart thaw

The Baltic winter breeze
Is only 1 season in 4
3 months from
When the cold will thaw
Bathing in a summer sun
Under the Autumn leaves
And Spring flowering trees
in the winter’s thaw
as hearts melt . . .
rushing streams sing

Permafrost upon the boughs,
in a glistening diamond wood;
where the water meets the Terra,
thin sheets in semi-melt
perform a slow ballet.
She'd always pop back up in the Spring,
for her usual sunny warm fling,
winters slow thaw,
at deaths door,
that Spring dormant awaiting the King.

A hunter of the frozen past…
I stalk all glaciered time
To kill the demon inside the ice,
with eyes that burn—its truth to thaw
