Day Comes

The dawn breaks, I rise up to greet the day
My sleep, though dreamy and peaceful, I must leave
For I must go back to reality.

Class Time Prisoner

I am stuck here in this class, a prisoner but without a crime,
Time slows to a crawl, and day by day we go,
Stuck here in this invisible slime.

I Still Live

`Till I stop breathing, I won`t stop living. Basking in the sun`s warmth, proof that I still feel. So long as my heart beats, I`ll always dream.

Italian Verse

Happy birthday, Sister Wilma,
Poets try the Italian verse;
The rhyme scheme of Terza Rima
Is interlaced as they rehearse.

Topic: Birthday of Wilma D. Honrubia (March 19)
Form: Quatrain

Shama's Dilemma Limerick

There once was a girl named Shama
Who wondered about her karma
As a poet her rhymes
Were always out of time
To most her terza rima was trauma

Silent Heart

Silence in my heart
Causes me to cry
Tearing my soul apart.

Often I will sigh
With echoes in the room
Wafting to the sky

The emptiness is my doom
Leaving me alone
Surrounded by gloom

Jesus

Faith keeps on going
Daily as prayers are submitted
Love and peace with much Joy are present
With peace and more
God loves love
The heaven and stars above
Prayers as one stand
Living life again.

Premium Member Holy Lord

As the living water
Moves within streams
falling down from the mountain source

Baptising love in crystal light
With burning flames inside the soul
For keeps each word holds reverence to your name

Low Tide

...comes now the ebb,

         between twigs, someone spins

               its silken web...

...brown twigs are such

         one's fingertips desert

               their sense of touch..!

Jesus Poetry

O' Holy Jesus
you gave your life,
for us.

Our faith and hope in you makes us dive
into the ocean of joy and love.
Your grace keeps us alive.

Premium Member You Came To Me An Angel Dressed In Light

The moon with a full smile beams
cradled inside the golden ring around
stars twinkle entering one vision

Cut from the clearest crystals
baptised through the oceans mist
held on the throne crowning beauty

Primorskaya April

PRIMORSKAYA APRIL

Trees are lost in the misty river’s sweep,
Tall buildings disappear
In the still chill of morning.

Below the glassy surface of the deep
And horizontal water,
The cold sun is swimming.

Premium Member Baptism of Faith

A symbol
of our creation
is the birth of love

One heavenly gesture
complete encompassing
one's heart

In divine purity
embraces the darkness with warm light
within our spiritual being

Unrhymed tercets

Fire Does Not Sleep

Still; my soul is graced
Breath of heaven falls
Kissed upon my face

Risen, yet to fall
Swell to flow out
Silence speaks it all

A spirit in drought
Finds the water deep
Never to run out

Fire does not sleep
Fallen yet to leap

Premium Member The Periwinkle

In italian “winkle” is like a verb
Imperative exhorting then to win
Exalting thus the strength of the nice herb.

If in winter looks like it's dry within
You see it back with its sky blue flowers
And quite sudden resurrected has been.

Ebb Touch

comes now the ebb,

      between twigs, spider spins

            its silken web...

                  for brown leaves are such,

                        fingertips desert

                              their sense of touch !

Asunder

We are not
Willing to be a hut
With a hailing, haunting history

Our fallen fathers fought for a golden glory
And our martyred mothers sealed the sacred story

With our hands and heart tied together
We’ll never break our border
Asunder.

Between

An eager eye in space
Search high and low
Long to see the face

Search a thousand rows
From the sky to ground
Hill to peak of snow

All that I have found
Is nothing to be seen
Faint; a growing sound

You have always been
Here I stand between

Premium Member Angel of Light

Whispers out of night
When the rising sun
began to awaken her eyes

Dawning golden warm holds breath
deeply delicious waves colours
expelling darkness beholding

Priceless the light
that touches down softly
beautiful dream gently kisses

unrhymed tercets

Mother

MOTHER

People often cry

And ask when does life begin?

Does the answer lie

With clinical exactitude?

With religious dogmatism?

With legal certitude?

With political correctness, or other?

No, the simple fact is that

Life begins with the word mother

Ripple of Silence

I stare long and hard at nothing,
           still can't figure out something,
her whisper lingers long and lilting

like an old song of youth haunting,
echoing away as a ripple of silence
and I forget all hurts and violence!

Convicting Thoughts August 1968 By Miracle Man January 15, 2021 I reasoned why to me they came, convicting thoughts that appeared; God released me from my shame. Things God thought I need know, He introduced Jesus, to be revered; Heart now possesses an inner glow.

When All the World Is Right

That perfect moment. Quintessential moment in time Vibes in exquisite harmony The planets all aligned Eyes that glow Senses heightened Feelings flow Mind enlightened So rarely felt …so sorely missed So primal and so potent Evanescent as morning mist …elusive perfect moment…
