The Periwinkle

In italian “winkle” is like a verb Imperative exhorting then to win Exalting thus the strength of the nice herb. If in winter looks like it's dry within You see it back with its sky blue flowers And quite sudden resurrected has been.

I don't know if it is the same species that we call periwinkle but they are a very pretty flower in the heat of summer into the first frost..Enjoyed reading your work..Thanks for the visit to my page..Sara

Yes, Sara, it is the same flower you tell about. We have a bush on the road which during winter becomes as if it were dead, but it revives during summer and lasts to the end of the year with a wide flourishing. Thank you for coming
