Landlord Or Guest

We are the landlords
in our own hearts,
but guests in other hearts,
no matter how long
our stay in their territories lasts

Dengerous Sickness

Dangerous sickness,
If majority people feared lies
Like they feared Corona virus
Devil and demons could miss
          Hidding territories.

Eucalyptus 2009

How you weep for me
Like the willow once had
Such foreign territories
Make us seek sparks of home
Sometimes the warmth
Of such a need fullfilled
Leaves you warmer than your own.

Hollow tin-cup chess pieces
tethered to fate are we
manipulated by forces
   unperceived
landing abruptly in
   alien territories
naïve suppositions
   blown to bits
on the wreckage of empires

My Country

A country full of Politicians
Who have evolved into Tacticians
By their words we are no longer cicatrized
Rather we are constantly hypnotized
By the unrealistic actions and promises
Of those governing our territories

Premium Member Totally In Love

plain jane bird from the northern territories
lands on reflective ice, possibly a berg
attracted to gorgeous polar bear like parakeet
no idea how she will ever be able to leave
even though her new sweetheart is cold and flat
she is so totally in love

Money Laundering

A mist led Sunday morning,

Indian Ocean walked beyond the territories,

Dressed in black cloth like a no moon night,

Some Banks sank under the Tsunami waters,

Currency notes floating like paper boats,

Dressed in wetness,

Launders came and ironed all the flood washed notes!

Silently Still

Hidden spirits motherland,
    destructions chosen horror.
Decayed barren grounds,
   ravaged territories dilapidation.
Debris leftover magnetic fields,
   crawls nuclear poisons contamination.

Mind Behind a Critic

Critique I am and shall forever be Timid deem in praise, but truthfulness ignore Tis' not refusal of the artist's reasons or beauty Yet perceptions to potentials fathom more And pretense unto willingness, I play the heavy To nudge said craftsmen into territories beyond their doors

Coronavirous Verse

Glorious human race!

Monstrous machines
unto globe thou place.

Surpassed grandeur,
overwhelmed with grace;

Heaven's territories
thou subdue 'nd embrace;

Surmounted all mysteries,
summits and space.

Yet, thy mightiness,
perfection never pace;

Tiniest Coronavirus,
fail thou to face!

Bird On Paper

The bird on paper,
            does not sing... but raises
            chants,
            remember places...
            enchants...

             The bird on paper,
             doesn't fly... but gives wings,
             inspires...
             free territories to,
             thought,
             imagination... !

Premium Member The heart of our democracy

Democracy's are formed,
yet many won't remain,
when autocrats emerge
to prolong their lengthy reigns..
Fighting to the death,
these soldiers of Ukraine,
thru personal sacrifice and loss,
their territories to sustain..
We must not abandon them
when their weary war wanes.
The heart of our Democracy is
strengthened by their gains..

Evacuation

Remember when the Taliban
took back Afghanistan
from an international coalition
led by the American

When enemies
became friendlies
invading their own
territories

Fighting ISIS
avoiding crisis
which evil
is the nicest

as the crowds stood packed
still the terrorists attacked
killing their own people
as the loyalty was cracked

Birds Drawn On Paper

Premium Member In Marked Territory

Find false flags,
gasoline rags.
Light a spark.
Cross red lines
in territories marked.

Not so fast.
Hold the phone.
Peacekeeper
or terrorist?
Rule the world
with an iron fist.

The hand of fate,
legitimate
targets that
proliferate.

This is mine.
Don't cross that line.
Flesh and bone,
ownership,
testosterone -
shut up,
I can't take it,
leave me alone.

The Lone Wolf

The lone wolf
By Michelle Morris
20/09/2023

The lone wolf is a blessing
Venturing out to territories new
Creating a stronger gene pool
Creating a better future

Finding a new mate
And finding a new tribe
Exploring the world
And pursuing your vibe

For you are powerful
You are forever strong
For you are the lone wolf
Not for very long

The Gate of Love

I’m wandering through foreign sands
To find what I am looking for
I’m looking for a promised land
To uncover territories unknown

The search goes far and yet I’ll say
I’ve never felt another way
I’ve never known
That love could be like hate

Please why can’t I enter through the gate?
I look into the light that leads
And yet I try to be the same
Yet still I cannot enter through the gate

Premium Member Word Player's Adventure

As I wake I realize today’s a new beginning, a
Day I can start a new word
Voyage into uncharted territories,
Enthusiasm abounds, as I leap out of bed, full of possibilities
Never slowing down, I
Take a peek at the notes I have taken of so many other poets’ works.
Uniquely spectacular words gallop toward me out of the pages.
Really now, isn’t this how
Every word player’s day should start?

Old man - at bus stop - in the rain

Yes I have balanced upon this rock
for 75, 85 years causing
negligible quantities
of soil to shift

Daily I wait patiently
on said surface at these familiar
co-ordinates, yet in my time
I visited 75, 85 territories of
the artificially boundaried surfaces

There was some growing, some striving
scant praying, scarce slaying
and my best claim my final
claim is to have left
no trace #pfft#

Premium Member Bluejacket

A baronial zing of blue jacket
Blithesome attitude,
Allures me to join navy,
A credence to serve countrymen,

When territories enter a ballicose
Only to belittle through broach,
Or to lull enemy by celerity
Not by swindling but by courage,

Howsoever contentious is the situation
To prevent from contretemps,
Think better of,
Think much of ,
Think through !!

Inside The Music

Inside The Music

Symphonies takes hold
Orchestra explodes in waves
Music of this vibration exudes sweetness
Purest of the souls
The glory of the Glorious

A dance into bliss
Drifting to the highest frequencies
Into magnificent territories
Hearing joyous melodies
Feeling massive euphoria

Inside The Music
Where one glides so elegantly
Lovingly becoming the music

Inside The Music
I am..

Fire

Strangers touching in the darkness Exploring unknown territories At
first The drum is slowing beating Faster and faster The rythym of
pounding flesh Screams of delight Echo through the dark Drums
pounding Music blaring At a feverish pitch Two souls are engulfed
in flames Music stops And once more they are mere mortals Once
again
