Sweet water in your sleek glass
A sudden tempest

The
only
child they had-
was their game of
love
See the painting' The Tempest' which
encapsulates Oskar's love for Alma
Darkness,
Wild wind's fierce cry,
Rain lashes, thunder booms,
Nature's raw, ferocious power,
Tempest.

Lonesome one shining
God’s special child of favor
Filled by his wonder

Between you
Between me
laps
the purple sea
In its tempest
Your fog
My fog
In its calm
a perfect reflection
Of you
Of me
Form:
lone tree of life stands
facing storms in light that streams
from God's piece of sky
For Raul Moreno's "Summer Tempest" contest
Eagle's trip of forlornness
Starts off lofty
As it spreads
Its forceful wings
And ascends
On the breezes
That bring the tempest
Listen to poem:
Brilliant start will depart
with storm, tempest fermenting.
Red at dusk fomenting,
brewing, red sky delight!
Cheers folks! Let's party!
Ink quills and vellum
Sensitivities on rags
The bard's monument

gentle, placid
blowing, kissing, cooling
zephyr, breeze, gales, gusts
ripping, tearing, razing
callous, turbulent

Arbor under lights.
Center stage stand up.
Go tree! Break a branch!

(sorry - couldn't help it : )
a matter of cool
when tempest is but a breeze
and tides ebb and flow…
till unsolicited mood
tempest and tides unhinged grow.

white-capped waves dance on an angry sea,
as the tempest grows in intensity.
written 9/29/11 for Brian Strand's Succinct contest.
Blue heights freeze to the white
Chilly and subzero winds rampage everywhere
Cold crafts descend onto the nation
Tempest blizzards
beautiful, yet deadly
Reflections praising, after the tempest, smiling through the rising Son

Cormorant and I
Share tempestuous moment
Wide-eyed ocean watch
Safely removed from spindrift
Waves, spume and spray batter shore.
this tempest
this bitter tempest
rages through my delicate
fleshy organs
through my flexible
enduring plasma machinery.
i crave for never-ending thunders.
Form:
A tempest raged within.
A building force, nowhere to go.
Hopeless, I sought to quell the din.
I uttered "wrath"
And it was so.
Released, the winds did blow.
So, Antonio is aboard that ship?
Let me see that vessel sink
and have him come to me.
based on the play "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare
I am anger, a hot fire,
A tempest fierce that tears the night,
A burning force of raw desire,
Outrage fuels my fiery might,
A storm that won't easily tire.
As the sticks and stones strike my bones from the tempest across the torrent ford,
I'm glad that we can find peace in knowing that the pen is mightier than the sword.
a lone ship
fades in morn's mist
the mast breaks
or
a lone ship
fades in the mist
tidal wave
3/4/3-contemporary haiku
tip of nose to third eye via guru to crown
becomes the pathway which is today aflame
spine as an implant holds erect energies
tempest of magnetism God alone can tame
Wind spit come down in buckets
Abiding in solemn Scotch mists
Components of an overwhelming tempest
Seek shelter before thrash out
Or dance under the rain chuck down
The Lady of Liberty looks me in the eye.
I am tempest-tost, and welcome reliant.
I pass at her feet, yet gaze at torch high:
Soon to be standing on the shoulders of giants.
