vaticinators wanderings xenial,
yearning zen.

of altruism in the world,
some pray, administer and comfort;
both create shrines of hope.

Yet there are others tasked to
reveal waymarks on invisible pathways,
cairns and inuksuk, signs upon the trackless;
word-symbols,

and quick respond to bells.

I answer questions that are asked
while staying in my place.
I crunch results as I am tasked
and check them just in case.

I (mostly) get to work on time
and mind my p's and q's
I've mastered stopping on a dime
executive parking spots I don't use.

Proper men and proper women
not a single knows
