Poets and Hope
God has tasked poets,
With keeping Hope alive,
Love in all their labours,
Anger under control,
Sadness from overflowing,
Romance from slipping off the page,
And most poets can take heart from their effort,
To instill in others what they write in indelible ink,
For all who cross their page,
And read between the lines.
