Life truly is a double-edged sword,
The grass is greener on what side of the fence?
Who knows,
But that is life …
~ Pauly G
The incorrect usage of tense
And phrases of total nonsense
Wipe out brain status
With more apparatus
Than the Department of Defense
His pen mighty sword
An ocean of ink awaits
Blank the pages remain!

A word to the wise
when the world says ‘Don’t’
A goal shields your will
~ carves up your won’t
i picked the quill
fallen from the flight feathers
to write soaring thoughts
~"Feathers" contest by SKAT A
The double edged sword of justice should be held by the steady hand of the righteous!

Immaculate Son
Sent for division, not peace
Giving His sentence,
He is not guilty.
But as blood drips from his blade,
He cries out for life.
May I never use
or abuse
this sword in my hand
Help my foes
look up and see ~
It’s You Who owns the land
To slash and parry your blade
And into the battle you wade
Feint, strike and advance
Though you may death chance
Your foe will still say: Well played!
Sword In Hand
So, where do you think you'll be
when my father reigns down from the heavens
to destroy this earth of her greed
and deliver her to the meek

Behold me as I wield the carbon sword,
cleaving reality as if a fraying cord.
In noble valor I make my timeless stand,
against the demons spawned by my own hand.
A pirate sailed into the Spanish bay
his luck just kept getting better that day
“My sword has rusted
I need it dusted.”
Aurora, the young barmaid, shouted “Ole!”
Mightier than the sword
Is the icy stare
Of a woman scorned
Her silence may slay 1000 men
As she locks the door to her wounded heart
Dragons dare not melt the ice
Hold your peace
Let the violence cease
Sheath your sword
Draw no more blood!
Let it off with a shrug
Give him a hug
If to Peace you belong
She shall make your days long!
Slay me now, and take a solemn vow,
Men can't say I might have died this way,
Thrust me through, and make it strong and true.
I'm a wreck, but long live the king Abimelech.
Phineas' revenge for the Lord
thrusting his miniature sword
in Zimri, Israelite prince...
Modern sensibilities wince
but for Jews, it just wasn't right
to romance the Midianites
i'm having a
major malfunction
with the assumption
that what i write is poetry
believe me but
believe what you will
for you are the writer and
i'm just the pen you have forged

Time is a predator
seeking to take away
our precious moments
never to be replayed.
Time is a mender
of much that is bad
smoothing over the sharp edges
making the past seem better.
the
kingdom of heaven
supply me
with
shield sword
and
surely wings
thus
to
fight
against
the
forces of evil things
both
day and night
and
wherever
it dwells
out of sight
i pray
In the deadly silent night at three
is an insane killer on a spree
both him and his sword crave endless blood
one stab, life ends in a deathly flood
and he won't stop after seventy

A blind lady holds the scales
But lends juries her sacred sword
Hoping reason will find justice
For the guiltless and evil it’s reward.
To those who feel this is zero sum
There is no balance for evil done.
As I lick the blood of battle
Mighty sword glistening in the scorching sun
My arm slowly lays it to the ground
Falling, I stare blankly, up to the sky
Dead
All battles now won
Love lost long ago
My friend, how fair is it,
For us to complain about the State's blunt sword of justice
When
We fail to sharpen justice's sword in our hearts and souls?

The sword sat on Brigadier’s table,
thinking how she ate flesh of enemies
in the battle-field in bloody front-line
“I wish I could have change of diet
or just fast for a few months to come”
She murmured to herself.
