As I lick the blood of battle Mighty sword glistening in the scorching sun My arm slowly lays it to the ground Falling, I stare blankly, up to the sky Dead All battles now won Love lost long ago

Life can truly be a battle in many ways, but to die from lost love is not on my list of things worthy of taking a life. Your pen is hovering over an abyss of noir ink. I understand but would offer you a transfusion to highlight the shadows. Pick up your sword...your battle has not ended.

The sadness at the end was very striking, and terribly depressing! I really loved the power behind your words, such expressed with passion, especially how this poem ended...the incredibly wondrous love of the lost! What a grand poem, Great Work my friend!!
