The Sword of Betrayal

Mightier than the sword
Is the icy stare
Of a woman scorned

Her silence may slay 1000 men
As she locks the door to her wounded heart
Dragons dare not melt the ice

So few words yet so great insight! Took me over twenty years and too many heartbreaks to understand that a woman is a gentle creature until you foolishly cock her hammer and dare her to shoot. Both barrels then blast you to smithereens! I know after being blasted more than once in my long life!

This is very true. How you captured how most gals (even men) react to betrayal is fantastically graphic.

I read this earlier, but didn't post a comment at the time! ;) "Hell knoweth not the wrath of a woman scorned." Spectacular write, my dear. Wonderfully worded. You have indeed brought me smiles today. Thank you.

WOW! Isn't that the cold truth? I think my heart froze many years ago, but I don't ask for revenge pity, or love. Great poem on the truth.... Lucilla
