Premium Member Tough Deal

Ouchica grouchica
Monica Hunt-Summers
Freed of staid husband her
Eyes flashing bright

Sashayed to Florida
Ultra-spontaneously
Surveyed the options and
Quick said goodnight.

Cupid thought she was rather blunt

when he surveyed her bottom and front

she defiled with a razor

after wielding a taser

incised his stupid macho affront

Premium Member Ever a Secret

a gnarled olive tree
  surveyed the scene --
tender saplings soaring skyward
  regal oaks basking in glory
majestic cedars 'midst the clouds
  --under her breath
                 ~ I’ll outlast you all

Purple Flame

Riverborn--
My heart was torn.
Feel in love with a boy,
Thought he was a toy.

Blue with envy:
I question myself,
I surveyed every feeling.

Jealous & possessive--
I desire an unending fire;
A lover who can extinguish my violet flame.

In the flickering light of the lamp,
Despite the chilly night, air so damp,
She surveyed books so avidly read,
Studied the guidelines now in her head.
Time came: she departed for the war,
Sure she'd care for all those wounded sore.
Many followed as she left her stamp,
At night she'd be the lady with the lamp.

Premium Member Jawbone of An Ass

Samson slew a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass!

The Lord said, "You done good, boy! You've got a lot of brass!"

"Thank you, Lord!", as he surveyed the carnage he did that day.

"I must say, I sure made donkeys out of them Philistines today!"

Premium Member A Fantastic Sight

Check out the stars at night, twinkling high in the sky. Seen with the naked eye; ebony pierced by light is a fantastic sight, that draws a gentle sigh. The universe displayed like a precious jewel; makes you feel minuscule. In awe of all surveyed, you're left somewhat dismayed; a ripple in life's pool. Yet, you're part of the whole; connected through your soul.

Hope

My topic is hope,
It’s of everyone for a robe,
I surveyed round the globe,
                      By results I was shocked,
Some had hope of earning,
                     While others had of winning,
Some were negative,
                     While others were willing,
You should be hard as a rock,
                    To bear every shock,
Being positive do your job,
	& shine within the mob!!!!!!

The Gonja man said to me
“It’s raining while the sun shines”
My guest appeared bemused
I had heard it before
We both surveyed the wasted landscape
The rivers filled with green slime
The potholes like staircases

The workers covered in clay
Golden like the gem they seek
To our left they hummed a tune
“Galamsey! Galamsey! …”
I whispered to my companion
There’s got to be a better song than that
Then we walked away

Premium Member Green Grass Faerie

Green Grass Faerie had a mystique that paraded around
In front of her as she surveyed her grasses above ground
She arrived in April, bringing refreshments in the form of dew
Causing verdant chaos and Kentucky grasses, blue.

Green grass faerie had a pact with miss violet, unique.
They appeared together, but the flower knew to only peek
For spring is overseen and managed by Green Grass Faerie.
Who retains power until middle June, taken over by Faerie Berry.

A Mountain Speaks

I stood atop a mountain high
Surveyed the vastness of the sky
With arms extended outwardly
A moments thought inspirit me.
I pray you mount, I beg bespeak
Please share with me your grand mystique;
Bestow on me the things you know.
An echo thrice said, “No!.. No!.. No!”
Why? I asked, disconcertingly
Meaning is all I seek, only
Please, please impart what I should know.
Again the echo,” No!.. No!.. No!”
Instantly it began to rain
‘Twas then my quest was all in vain.

With Bated Breath

Detected overpowering odour ascending by degrees
Rational thought dissolved in fear
Animalistic unearthly roar transpiring
Gigantic mockery of every living thing
Oblique it’s huge amber eye surveyed
Nostrils twitching rapidly to detect
Stagnant atmosphere all pervading
Tantamount aversion restrained
Onerous task to undertake
Nihilism mindfully conjured despair
Extinction of human kind a possibility

The Flight of the Fire Drake

Over the land covered in suet, singed by storms of fires
The Fire Drake surveyed for any breath of life remaining
The humans decidedly in unification ended all existence
Hovering over Elysium once occupied by eternal Spring
The Drake came to rest on wet wood washed to shore
It considered all things and then it took to flight
Once there was a place called Heaven and now it’s forever lost

Eye Gazing

I see myself in
Languid spherical repose
I watch my eyes
In your eyes

Gazing into the wonder of you

I lose myself as
Windows of jade lash brief
Casting the very glow
Of my love’s desire

Upon the green waters of your soul

Turquoise hue paints the sky
Over my shoulder in your eye
A crimson bird does fly
Soaring both deep and high

Into the beauty of your uncharted mind

The most amazing image that I’ve ever surveyed is the warm light of forever falling through the panes of us…

Whose Child Is This

Whose child is this, before me laid A gift of God, from his love made Two tiny hands my heart embrace This one who chose my world to grace So innocent, so unafraid As each small feature is surveyed Life as I knew it starts to fade As I gaze down upon this face Whose child is this Oft to my Lord, my wish conveyed Each evening for this child I prayed All my misgivings now displace My emptiness of heart erase Has He at last my fears allayed Whose child is this

Premium Member Yesterday

Yesterday caught me thinking
Of thoughts melodic and serene
Vivid in roused seance
Trembled navel
Full with anticipation
From sacral to root
Drowned in downy bliss
Dissolved by whispers
Within my hips
Surveyed with gentle lips
Yesterday caught me thinking
Of every salacious kiss
