Yesterday

Yesterday caught me thinking
Of thoughts melodic and serene
Vivid in roused seance
Trembled navel
Full with anticipation
From sacral to root
Drowned in downy bliss
Dissolved by whispers
Within my hips
Surveyed with gentle lips
Yesterday caught me thinking
Of every salacious kiss

A very intimate poem. It is often very difficult to move past relationships that we know are dead, especially in our dreams.

Yesterday did pass away while at home did stay soon soul started to stray then sins did cause dismay.

The power of the poem seems to come from its suggestion of an erotic communion (perhaps belly dancing) with the dead. It seems like a memory of someone loved who is seduced back into being. This is excellent writing! Thanks, Thomas Wells

Well-controlled writing, expertly balancing word choice with "salacious" details. I am saddened that quality writing like yours - excellent length, not too long - are missed, & no comments posted on it until mine. Glad for this chance to read Andreanna's skilled writing. Never quit.
