A goal for Three Point

The goal is to score a goal
Go for goal and earn three points
The world stage football festival seems cold
Thou art giant among Aficans
Set the pace and surmount Mount Rwandan
The rest will bow down

Soul's Surmount

My quenching heart does wholly yearn tight grasping,
With brazen lust, my soul surmounts thy figure,
I fully drenched in fervid sweat whilst gasping,
As passion’s peak mounts, endless dreams of vigor.

Let Zeroes Mount

let zeroes mount
hurdles daunt you
surmount you must

mammon is God
life's well trod path
says fraud is light

I disagree
life for me is
a sea of love

of contentment
money's meant, see,
for rent and needs

Pseudo-Smile

Nights unveil the darkness
Of dreary, dismal days
Thoughts plummet deeply
And diverge in disarray
Anxieties surmount
Ability to cope is seized
Sad face, a pseudo-smile
Hope barely within reach

The Secret of Life

Traced undated thoughts
Conversed deepest life's questions
Ageless wit surmount

Mind traversed within
Whilst vibrant colors made hue
Gently asked questions

Embraced each other
Radiating every facet
Life's truest secret.
Form: Haiku

Hard To Surmount

D-ifficult to deal with
I-s a sorrowful situation;
A-im not to surrender,
N-or cease your right
A-ction.

T-hursday September seventh

Don'T Point Jurist

I maintain and contain
 a passion for compassion

 It's so convenient
 to point a fast finger
 of condemnation
 at those whose path
 we have never walked

 Or to talk a walk
 we've never ventured ourselves

If we do surmount the pass -
It is but by the grace of God

My Poetry

One Vienna says my poems are complex.
She ought to know this is a reflex
That I cannot surmount,
Of styles strange and oddities profound.

Like Prof. Wole Soyinka of Nigeria,
I write not for the lay who poetry fear
But the masters to whom this art is dear,
And who the language of gods revere.

So much tears
Straining ink blots
Sorrow streams

So much pain
Spilling tears
Wet paper trail

So much sorrow
Steering
Desolation

So much slaughter
Surmount sadness
Desserts stressed

So much anger
Signs stupidity
Relentlessly

Be willing now
To forfeit how

Be rid of why
To seize fond sighs

Be still to when
So love moves then

Be clear of who
Moves pact to do

Be beyond where
To surmount care

Be not the what
That frames vain squat

Let questions cease
In fragrant peace

Basking under celestial rays there we are… mother and son beyond hope-filled mirth jubilantly surmount imprisoning boundaries... since special child freely wheels himself to optimize bonding delight midst God’s boundless grace... while I plunge into faith-flight beholding his courage wondrously liberating.

There are no moments which we need to count,
because we dwell in the eternal now,
with no fears or desires left to surmount,
as bliss mists rise within, which we allow.
With vibrant emptiness as now the norm,
as we’re swathed in currents both cool and warm,
we are as we are, at peace and complete,
drenched in sublime bliss mists, feeling complete.

Regret

Rigors domicile unkempt
that lowly insurrection intercept
my only peace, the glory of those kept
in infinite appease, my cantor met!

That deepening ford, my vestige of days left,
all bravery's surmount am in this tread,
do I of destitute regard remove adept,
Oh, soul of my wounds keeping, not regret ~

The deity of this weeping . . . thy inept!

Premium Member Forget Not Gratitude

FORGET NOT GRATITUDE Over the accolades we reached and claim: forget not, the lamps lighting tricky paths: they help us surmount, survive every flame, nurturing the soul away from bloodbath turning common days to joys, one could aim - gratitude within and of we became. . . Overcome the Adversity

P-ray to overcome the adversity,
A-sking for faith, hope, and love;

A-ll trials willed by God above.

The Road Where We Left Off

I thought I had advanced further
Maybe to the next level
Checking my hit points
Still have residual resource
But in an irony as biting as life itself
The game had been paused
My character stuck in stasis
Unable to surmount the midlevel boss
Tomorrow i will return
Back to the haunted rented house
Back to dreams and ambitions
Where love resides forever
At home with itself

Economic Hardship

Though it is very hard to survive ,
You can still surmount this tough situation,
Being a single parent is not easy,
And losing ones job due to recession
Is adding salt to an earthworm ,

But be strong and look up the sky,
For help comes when you least expect ,

Sun rises and the flower blossoms ,
Cloud cries and the fries dance for the coming rain .

Walking In Someone's Shoes

Other people's problems
May be worse than yours or not,
A question of perspective
Which those outside haven't got.

It really isn't possible
To walk in someone's shoes
Because the paths they follow
Wouldn't be the ones you'd choose.

We're stuck with our own hurdles
Which we'll either crash or clear,
Struggles harder to surmount
Than how to others they appear.

Premium Member Misery

Misery Written: by Tom Wright 8-16-2016 When affairs of life aren’t going right, I try to reminisce about the good times. Past lingering notions of feeling contrite, To rest in my psychological paradigms. But pages once turned I cannot abridge, For no more will they pass my way again; Seems I’m left to surmount a moving ridge, With thoughts that I’m unable to constrain;

A Little Knowledge

The problems, they surmount, why is infinity so hard to count?
It’s because infinity has no end. It’s quite Elementary my friend!

How do I drive my hybrid car when we suffer blackouts near and far?
A battery and fuel tank is the trend. It’s quite Elementary my friend!

You answer each problem of mine making it sound so simple and fine?
My knowledge I am happy to extend. It’s quite Elementary my friend!

Premium Member Who Do I Turn To

Good night, my always love. You are in every step I take and when I behold the stars above! For you hold my heart and are my forever love. The world may go crazy, and people may hurt me. But you are the only one who counts. You bring those Arcadian band- aids and within your arms there is nothing on this planet,I cannot surmount. I love you, Panagiota September 20, 2019

Journey

Every journey is anchored to destiny.
To reach the everlasting serenity.
A destiny to unfold.
A story to be told.

Every day is a great adventure.
To conquer the pain in nature.
A pain to claim.
A target to aim.

Every impediments come naturally.
To surmount timely.
A time to be bold.
A bronze to gold.

Every moment comes with pain to venture.
To help us to be mature.
A hope to flame.
A chance to fame.

COPLA 68 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World

We drop from the filthiest parts
End up wanting to get back in:
Sense of humour

Thank You! For keeping the head’s thoughts
Far from losing face in within
Though women sour

The rest of Life’s littered obstruction
You put in place just to surmount:
Care for children

Till insurmountable damnation
Riding bare-back on Himavant
Men limp broken
