Silently washed ashore
this precarious log; from
where did you come, to
where do you go?
My dog, on you he'll

The Tragedy
Steve just wanted to go and mow.
He had just stubbed his toe.
He was in bad pain
It was in his brain.

I didn’t mean to stub my toe
At two I cry
At fifteen I swear
At twenty one I don’t even notice
At thirty two I wake up in a jail cell
At forty? WTF...

always thinks he's about to die

Premium Member Portrait of My Big Toe
Written Gail DeBole
in 1997

There once was a toe that was big
and was helpful when dancing a jig.
At times it was stubbed,
and washed in a tub
and, when young, spent some time in a crib.

Grandma Hearts Grandma
I never met Grandpa
so I do not know
if he ever went dancing
or stubbed his toe.
But I do know
one thing-
Grandma loved him.

And Grandma died
when was in 8th grade.
So we didn't talk
I am afraid.
But I do know
one thing-
Grandpa loved her....

Bad Day
Head ache
Posion ivy
Phones ringing
someones at the door
spilt my cup
dropped my plate
glass everywhere
blood on my foot
dogs barking
kids screaming
house is a mess
I stubbed my toe
I banged my arm
tears well up
I wanna cry
what a bad day...

Reality Drops
Reality drops
Like a stubbed Toe
Unexpectedly
Uncontrollably and sometimes close to a
Devastating fear of permanent failure
By thought
By course
By ability
Until we accept
Until we accept
And grin for the favor
Of the full torture of
Nature’s Reality
Again, and again......

Premium Member Walkin' In the Snow
As I was walkin' in the blowin' snow,

I tripped over a stone and stubbed my toe!

I was freezin' and so numb.

I mused, "This is kinda dumb!"

Should've stayed home slurpin' a cuppa joe!

Anger Or Angel
Vermilion red is my blood
The anger was the mortal weapon

Stubbed, all of me scattered

Hey, at the end of "anger"
Use "l" from "love"
Instead of "r" from "rage"

Yes, you ARE an angel

Fly and collect all pieces of you

"Sleep with angels"

My mother's voice resonates in me....

Abruptness
She stubbed her toe
And tripped over the edge
But he caught her
And held her tight
Tight enough she shattered
He put her back together three or four times,
But once another little lady tripped over the edge
He dropped her over
So as she fell
She thought to herself,
"That was abrupt."...

Wilma cried, “We are going too slow!”
But poor Flintstone could no faster go.
Not because of a flat.
No, for nothing like that.
It was just Fred had stubbed his big toe!

It's Hard To Tolerate
I stubbed my toe-- OUCH!
Attempting to get order right given by my pregnant sister who yells out:
"More mustard servant!"
So I spread mustard on top of her sandwich-- YUCK!
I Attempt to cover the problem by adding a slice of bread on top of that
"JUST GET OUT OF MY ROOM! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!"
It's hard to tolerate my pregnant sister......

Cusp of Equinox
Last night ached with the fear of fall.
I stubbed a toe against the dark.
And then came morning, sparking
ponderosa’s candles one after another;
igniting every living bird with the spirit
of song as we tip the seasons,
the sun tilting to touch each stunned tree
with the amber of its sap, so it stands
for the moment transparent....

Premium Member Leaves Begin To Shudder
A bum called Boe has stubbed his toe, he’s stumbled in the gutter;
with broken neck, he looks a wreck, the sparrows all aflutter.

The passers-by, they close an eye, and turn their heads to mutter:
“Let’s pray for rains to cleanse the lanes, to rid the road of clutter.”

A river slows neath mountain snows, and leaves begin to shudder....

And Have a Nice Day
Humanity has banned swearing
i don't know what the coitus to do
Stubbed my toe
Blancmange does not seem to do the trick
The mammary gland in my work
such a coituser too
This plaster born out of wedlock
Doesn't give a phytoplanton
Manures hit the fan
Cannot understand
Nobody tries
Even beneath the gentleness of words
the truth sometimes lies...

Closed Off
Cleo stubbed her toe
Thats it
All the furniture had to go!

Cleo burned her tongue
Oww, that's not fun
All the food went out the door

Cleo cut her finger on the page
Oh the horror, oh the rage
All the books in the fire

Now she huddled in the empty
Hungry
Soul less
Room
And feared the light that kept her warm.

She locked the world out
And herself in
And she had nothing left

Poor Cleo...

A Dying Star
The large cigarette burn i n the sky
Scorches an unforgiving landscape,
Aging the ideas of mankind.
This corpuscle of bubbling pus
Cloaks the world with its runny yoke,
Which stains a blue plate.
Breakfast -
Sustains a gluttonous body,
And warms the vast belly
Of ice tundra and desert sand
Which bathe in the ashen grains of time,
Until the fire dies,
And its light stubbed out in an ashtray,
By a little, geriatric man
Who has puffed away at our dreams....

Hypochondriac
My face is covered
In splotches
My hair is dull and brown
My stomach bulges
And my butt is fat

My back- it aches
My head- it throbs
I stubbed my toe
Again

He looked at me
She pulled my hair
And at my clothes
The always stare

My side- it pains
My finger’s jammed
And in the door
My hand was slammed

There’s a moth
I scream with fright
I run away
With all my might

My room’s dark
My feet are cold
And there’s the boogieman
I was told....

Nay To Reckless Speech
Sometimes, in speech we stray
With what we rashly say,
While attention ears pay
Our lips allowed their way...

Worse when our mood is gay
Or we forgot to pray,
Now to Free Mistakes 'prey'
Listener's bright face turns grey.

Speech don't make like you may;
Cigar stubbed out on tray;
Some shall like donkeys bray,
Some end up in sick bay...

To reckless speech 'say nay'
You'd be sent the sun's ray...

For you Amblessed Daniel:
This game catch like spaniel....
