Cautiously Landed On Condo
Birds cautiously landed on condo,
Then they were sure to look below;
Did burp;
Sang a chirp,
After seeing Trump stub his big toe.

I didn’t mean to stub my toe
At two I cry
At fifteen I swear
At twenty one I don’t even notice
At thirty two I wake up in a jail cell
At forty? WTF...

I inhaled the smoke, then wished to flee,
thinking to myself "This is debauchery!".
Take a gutter stub

Cut the Cord So We Can Afford
Cut the Cord So We Can Afford

What we should want is cut the cord;
Then determine what we can afford;
Here is the rub;
Check pay stub,
For amount allowed by Loving Lord.

Senescence
Yesterday, it was a shoot.
Today, it becomes birds’ hub,
as it bears bountiful fruit.
Next day, the tree will turn stub.

I have nothing I used to have.
I have everything I've always had.
"Make the most use of your time here," said the Postman.
As I got to the door he grasped my shoulder and said,
"Don't worry, you're still in the grace period."
He slipped me my parking stub.
I thought he said the "grass period."
I sat in the yard for 4 hours....

Agreement feels like a back tickle
smells like magnolia
sounds like soft crickets and rushing water
looks like the bright moon
tastes like milk

Disagreement feels like a toe stub
smells like rotted vegs
sounds like fingernails running down blackboards
looks like the pic took of you at fourteen
tastes like medicine

Not  so much difference, eh?...

Tiptoe Through Trump Garden
Tiptoe Through Trump Garden

If through Trump garden you tiptoe,
Make sure it will be mighty slow;
Carefully,
Better be;
Or on his stupidity can stub your toe.

Jim Horn

Beginning and Route

From God are the beginning and root;
Children created when we bare fruit;
Sins are no more,
If Him do adore;
Accept His knowledge and are astute.

Over 10 again....

Hollering Baller

Stub my toe I holler
Sweaty neck and armpits, perspire
Fall down bruise my knee
Can no longer crawl
Was a basketballer
Does any or all of this matter
Hurt toe
Sore knee
You wonder why I holler
Was a game of one on one
Score 37 to 71
I loss the game
Guess that means I'm not a baller

Hermits Cave
Shadows danced in the hermits cave

from the tiny light his candle gave,

he washed his face, but did not shave.

All his life he was a knave,

his Bible said, the souls a slave.

So, he left all the things to crave,

redeemed by God, but can't behave.

Covered by God, Hells fire to stave.

Pacing in prayer, saints paths to pave,

blowing out the candle, a stub he'll save....

Shaped like a
polar magnetic field
but more greener
with a stub of a stem
let me see here
your name is
Granny Smith
Crisp and Tangy
4017, Produce of USA
A fine specimen indeed!
I hope the fruit pickers
didn’t put their
greasy, grubby
Beaner hands
all over your
luscious
surface.

The rough world’s bruised you
but not enough to save you.
You die tomorrow at sunup....

Premium Member The Company You Keep
All quiet on the western front:
The rest, in bed, still sleeping.
Then, audibly, I hear a grunt;
The neck hairs start their creeping.

Then springing up from on the couch
To do a full room sweeping,
I stub a toe, a stifled ouch,
And words that need some bleeping.

And there beneath me, I can vouch,
The monitor is beeping.
It’s Vivian, no ogrish grouch,
Whose company I’m keeping....

Wash my feet before I go to sleep,
Rub my eye before I cry;
Tap my tummy before I spend money,
SCREAM Halleluiah instead of "at a boy".
Cry out  "JESUS"  when I stub my toe;

:) ha! then wha ya readin this fo!

Premium Member Agony
This was pain like none I'd had before
from ground up felt like I had been impaled
I leaned unsteadily against the door
fists tightly clenched, through gritted teeth inhaled.
The need to cry out was hard to suppress
in silence, cursed all things from earth to sky
until at last the agony grew less
and fiery tempered thoughts had passed me by.
It will happen again, yes, this I know,
on bedroom radiator stub my toe....

Premium Member Fiendish Hub Anita Blake Series Tribute
I've heard of the Circus Of The Damned;
By all accounts the rumors are true;
The graffiti makes it seem so grande;

Filled with copper and turquoise blue
billboards have you longing to attend;
In the French Quarter stories continue;

St. Louis boasts a fantasy alive and well;
Vampires perform in this fiendish hub,
gothic striptease mixed with a carnival;

More intense energy than any club,
blood will surely soak your ticket stub....

Premium Member I Writ It
I writ it,  re-writ it
settled back and said
“I did it!”

I posted it
When It was done
Said “I’ll not write
Another one.”

I sat ecstatic
Feeling drowsy
Relieved cuz no one
Called it lousy.

My pencil said
“you’ve hit your mark”
“now go and hang it
In the dark”

The critics “faved”
But here’s the rub
I listened to
that pencil stub

now my poems
ride on the wind
without beginning
without end

Deep in the earth’s bowels
We crawl through tight tunnels
Where it’s darker than night
But for glimmer of light
From small stub of tallow,
A feeble yellow glow.
Above our heads the rock
It often creaks and cracks.

We each have our own jobs.
Mine is collecting cobs.
Others sort slate and slack
From the hewn rock-face black.
Some haul full carts of coal
Up track to exit hole.
Crawling through tight tunnels,
Deep in the earth’s bowels....
