Sensual and Sweet
Those apples you call cheeks are as fresh as a currant, grapefruit!
Wanna eat them my luv! For they're chubby and sweet!

The crease on your neck is a line on blue-sky.
It squints for a smooch which my lips can't deny....

Dispersion
Light abiding by
the laws of physics
journeys through space
into the eye of a being.

The eye squints before
the dazing tourist
as two opaque intruders
exist between them.

The being was amazed by
the light's change in tint:
what is near is blood,
what is far is sky....

AS I WAS WALKING IN THE SNOW

As I was walking in the snow of prints,
blanket mystery of Denali squints.
        Where’d I put my maps?
        Polar bear, perhaps?
A roaring of fur — I race from sure hints!

Eternity
Pearl – drops
on your upper lip:
heat –
of a stand-off
between
inside and outside.

More spiritual
I become
forgetting
the black eye,
I want to go back
with empty hands.

My home
is far away,
doorless,
roofless,
where dark squints at the moon.

The imaginary musings of my mind, experience past & present lingers long, dusted off, re-opened,viewed from time to time, retrospective perspective changes all; maturity's long-sightedness squints aghast, then savours the mellowness of memory; a tear,a smile washes nostalgia's face.Today will be yesterday, gathering dust....

Lace
Brightness peeps into
yellowing net curtains;
brief wafts of a semaphore sky.

An elderly lady has planted her mind
in an apartment,
lightbulbs burn out, are never replaced;
sunshine squints through thin drapes.

Daily she shoos the world away,
discourages rumors
of unnecessary things.
Mail piles up
on her unwelcome mat....

Upon the Edge
Sitting on the edge of darkness
Leaning on a distant truth
His feet shuffle,
as we can hear him come through;
This line of loned writers,
each with differences yet teetering on this ledge,
with dark skies encompassing
He staggers and squints the precious light
Yes, sitting on the edge of darkness,
as the crowd of one cries Bravo!...

Wait For Sunset To See Her In the Stars At Night
Look at the sun beyond the blue skies

Think of her as the light squints your eyes

See the clouds and in the mind form her

Feel the wind on your face and it does stir

See the horizon and past the deep sea

She's gone now and lives in heavens memory

See her in fate as the birds take their flight

Wait for sunset to see her in the stars at night...

Bestie
The long curly hair,
A reddish tint,
You are still beautiful,
Even if someone squints,
The smile you give,
That way you make people laugh,
Your a unique friend,
The best to me,
Even if I asked,
Your since of humor,
Your oh so charming ways,
The way you dress up,
We all know,
You won't stay that way,
Your perfect as can be,
Even with your flaws,
I'll never forget you,
And i'll always remember..........

Instants
Momentarily he is a lad again
smelling the perfume of a young love.

Now on this morning, the snow carries
a peppermint and lilac scent
and he an old man searching.

Here comes a ragged flight of crows,
he squints in the cold sunlight dazzled.
He recalls the same crows
when he was young, the same bright snow
almost blue under their wings.

Did any of this change -
the girl, the crows, the scent,
the sense of it all?...

The Dockhand
Fading in the crimsoning dusk,
like a predator stalking a prey,

            the gray fog stealthily creeps,
            crawls through dilapidated

warehouses in the dockyard
long abandoned by the years;

            a dockhand squints through
            cobwebs of a sooty window,

shadowless symbols of ships
that had come, gone long ago;

his drunken ears could fairly tell
which tolled as the funeral bell....
