Premium Member The Door To Education

Public schools closing again
  Teachers abandon the halls

Slamming the door on education
  Mayor, just fire them all

The Fish House

sea

with my Dad
fish cleaning chores

Wind Profanity

Another cloud frowning Sunday,
Wind bellowing profanity-
Dreary tears slamming to Earth.

Where is my sun?

Sky Twinkle

''A brilliant, peltdown, and a sprinkle. In the midst of slamming, sky blue twinkle
O' during melodic chimes --my mind chinkle.''
sky
Form: Epigram

Premium Member Hang Ups

Angrily hanging up a smartphone lacks gravitas - jabbing a virtual button doesn’t offer the satisfying, physical release of slamming down a receiver

Doors

so,
when one door closes another opens?
well, I have faced slamming doors
and crushed dreams
but I search these dark halls
and there are no open doors in sight

Hades Revisited

Having less
suffering more
Doors were slamming
wolf at the door

Arriving first
finishing last
Spiraling downward
— perdition recast

(The New Room: February, 2025)
Form: Rhyme

Table Tennis

She ping
She pong
Digging both sides
With concentration
With hand slamming
Calculated precision
Eyes rolling pinning
The striking win
Over this green
Rectangular board.

Premium Member The Poet Destroyer Wins!!!

Me and P D? Slamming friendly,
so before our "Fans" get into a war,
I am conceding gracefully.
Poet Destroyer < One of the best damn slammers I've known for sure.
You Crushed Me! Congrats P D!

Rainy Days

it's 5:22 pm on a Wednesday evening
it's raining harder than usual
each drop slamming against my window
making an irregular thud each time;
mocking my heartbeat whenever
you say 'i love you'

The Hummer Slammer Beat

Jazzing around,
the black humming bee
swings along with the strings

Fiddles, guitars
in the piano bars
keeping a-slamming the floor

The music is growing
from under the feet
of the Dancer:

THE BEAT!

Premium Member Thunderstorm

Rising thunderstorm
Sudden rain slamming my roof
Passing overhead.

Sharp lightning flashes
Interrupt work on the screen
Computer goes blank.

Distant thunderclap
Computer is rebooting
Nothing I wrote lost.
Form: Haiku

Premium Member Crimes

He lives in fear eternally for crimes he committed,
Considering each t-cross and i-dot he omitted,
Waiting for the sad, sickening slamming of the gavel,
But it has long since crashed; see his mind, like yarn, unravel.
Form: Rhyme

Lonesome Whistle

Behind on my rent…
the door slamming behind

A beggar of memories,
doomed to remind

Last boxcar of hope
on a railway of dreams

From here to tomorrow
—trapped in between

(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2020)
Form: Rhyme

Dream Or Nightmare

DREAM OR NIGHTMARE
Am I still sleeping or did I awaken? I could be dreaming but might be mistaken. I am searching for the bathroom urgently, But then I hear the slamming of the room door. And I’m naked in the hotel corridor

Battle of the Sexes

Thrust in and out
Oh! I love your wrath you take on me
Slamming me hard into the bed
Smothered with sheets and
Screams mumbled by pillows
So harsh but the only way I can feel you love
Passionate and soaked
Spent and sticky
Dirty unto the Kinks

Premium Member The Sadness of Things

I'm woozy with the uncertainties of life.
I'm staggering back and forth,
slamming into one wall and then another.
I cling to a banister
wondering how it can be
that I'm even alive.
Bitter to be still living.
Grateful to have survived so long.

THE OTHERSIDE

There's always the otherside
of something so beautiful
somehow, it always finds me
Crashing like a storm
Drenching me with sorrow
Slamming me back to the place
I hardly belong
Pull me out
Bring me peace
It's too much chaos here
I cannot breathe...

Anger

Untethered rage!
Boundless, wrathfilled and belligerent,
Fury of a thousand sun's converging into a single point,
One million fists slamming down on a desk,
Screams of wrought and blood,
Eyes ablaze like a city on fire,
A mind consumed of vengeance and chaos.

Within I Shall Learn

in light of the hooves slamming
into each behavior one finds the motherliness
in the fingers of wizards wonderful plants in the flowing sea that their names do
know every shade of a wave of healthy two late names inspire the wolves from the
home in us within
