To the Skeptic

So you don't like my poetry?
You think it's for the birds?
Well that's ok 'cause I don't like birds
on my car they leave their turds.

Pathetic Skeptic Who Was Diabetic

We knew Trump was purely pathetic;
Also leaping, lewd and lascivious skeptic;
Bizarre;
Should see scar;
He had been overweight and a diabetic.

Back Door Balm

To treat an ulcer that was peptic

My Doc gave me an antiseptic

Then he made it quite clear

That it goes up my rear

I think you could say I'm a skeptic

Nonbeliever

Nonbeliever
by Michael R. Burch writing as Kim Cherub

She smiled a thin-lipped smile
(What do men know of love?)
then rolled her eyes toward heaven
(Or that Chauvinist above?).

Political Chastuska #3: No Such Thing As Global Warming

"There's no such thing as 'Global Warming'"
- That "hypothesis" my skeptic friends ignore.
Yet to all those with objections forming,
I suggest you check the price of maple syrup at your store!

Best Friend

Best Friend Miracle Man 3/14/2023 It’s much better to believe with hope, than to live a skeptic, dying lost, While firmly gripping a knotless rope, when Jesus’ blood was our saving cost. “Believing is mile one, on the highway to becoming.” Tom

Carol

She's the artist at the canvas
Where the depth jumps out and dances
She's the aurora burning through my skeptic sky

There's a glow on the water
A journey is upon her
She has passage to the oft denied

My heart ! My heart !

The Fumblin Poet Is At Lost For Words

fumblin poet
can't find her words
long-winded
picture eraser
leaky pens
skeptic readers
negative comments
wishin of a crowd to fit in
delirium in sentences
naturalist in haiku
cute couplet
abstract like a free verse
fumblin poet has many words
which way will they come out?

The Skeptic

Religion is a separator,
not a lifesaver.

Man made it in his mind.

Take a lesson in history,
maybe you’ll see.
I do not believe
that God is right for me.

Neither the Devil nor Jesus,
do I believe to exist.

Go spread the word of your deity
and end up at the guillotine…

Provocative Titles

There's nothing wrong with the name Burger King
(aside from the obvious ego thing).
But I'd be mighty skeptic
about shouting out in public,
"Let's go buy a couch from that place called Sofa King"

NOTE: Say "Sofa King" while closing your eyes... see if you don't notice something strange.

Skeptic Heart

the skeptic heart
full of doubt
uncertainty
reservations
reign supreme
within the resentful
soul
misgivings create
a suspicious mind
one that is unwilling
to even try and fathom
the possibility of another
version of reality different
then the one that is believed
to be true

This Is Me

I don’t have a pretty face like a goddess
But surely I have a heart that can go for miles
Not a typical blonde girl you want
But I can be everything you need

You might be skeptic I know
But this what I carry with me everywhere I go
A golden heart and a beautiful soul
I could fave everything long the way

Contrasting Worlds

“I dream of teaching more students while I continue exploring world throughout my life”, I answered.

"...and what's yours?", i curiously asked.

With dismayed eyes, assimilating all hope from the west, “I dream of not dying before time”, she whispered,

Skeptic juvenile eyes turning bright and optimistic with the flow of evening prayer.
(Allah reassures!)

Leos

My life is filled with Leos;
Astronomically, that sign
Is described, if you believe it,
As compatible with mine.

Several people quite beloved
Have their birthdays in that range
Which, although I am a skeptic,
Doesn't really seem too strange.

So this Aries sends out wishes
To the Leos who await
Late July and most of August
For their chance to celebrate.

Snowflakes

If every snowflake’s different,
Which is what I’ve always heard,
Then their patterns, if you counted,
Would have numbers quite absurd.

So it wouldn’t be impossible,
In theory, if we say
That, like twins or triplets, some of them
Have matching DNA.

There is just no way to prove it
But I’ve always been a skeptic
Of that snowflake speculation
And I pooh-pooh the acceptic.

Mental Affair

I gaze a stalky single-helix cradle,
Squished so in seemingly hydrous blue cover,
Attracts square substantial planes in a bundle.

I embrace now feather's mass helve to ladle
Psychic portraits siphon to it in wander.
My fist fiddles as it scribbles on oodles.

Cuts of a suckling tree, soil, river fondle
Paper, pen, poet in cahoots as lovers
Rupture of a skeptic smug gnostic noodle

Fickle Fancy

Weary worry wastes
Hurry hurling haste
Tipsy trouble tastes

Free fickle fancy
Natures nooks nicely
Weary works wildly

Crafty charm cheats change
Rough rowdy rides range
Silly stutter strange

Mind maze moves minions
Opt odd opinion
Flame fiery function

Sense sharp spiky stay
Dangle dreary day
Sober skeptic sway

My Transformation

Faithless, skeptic, selfish, fearful I was before worthless, empty… Thank God; His love is great, faithful blessing* me to share His bounty.
*Hebrews 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee… April 26, 2019 Edited on August 20, 2021 2nd place, "Bite Size Poem no18" Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Line Gauthier; judged on 8/28/2021.

Fantastic, Not Plastic

I feel so vitalized, stylized, unanalyzed.

Eclectic, electric, not hectic!

My cells are atomized, crystalized, uncompromised.

Eccentric, ecstatic, not skeptic!

My mind's been mesmerized, civilized, unprivatized.

Fantastic, elastic, not plastic!

Cuz I have level eyes, country sized, unrealized.

Authentic, romantic, not manic!

...Or, maybe I'm just a little bit bombastic?

Something New Maybe

Opportunity, you are welcome
Did you really have to walk hand in hand with doubt?
Or would skeptic be so happy to hear how you rummaged in her room while she adored herself like a cult.
Greener pastures with fresh fruit glistening of hope
did you notice pessimist the puppy that likes to dig at the crop?
Good fortune, nunchuks
I hate sunny days said chance with a stain of worry on his white suit......

Crack Open Your Mind

No other planets are Inhabited, you say; What proof, have you of this? You could ask me the same; It’s egotistical. Do you really believe? Have you been to each And every planet? How did you get there? Perhaps a rocket? Or your own shuttle? Pompous ego! The fool assumes All without proof But open minds, Say maybe… Possible… Yes perhaps… Open Your mind, Think.

Criminal Soon To See the Light

Going to a place without romance without a dance
To a skeptic of all different pain, we give you your last meal
So do not bare your soul to anyone, so happy and gray
Fear not to know that today is the day
Smiling with decay, the moisture of sweat and fear
Your nostrils are dripping with excitement
With eyes that have not slept for days
Time to see the punishment for all the things you've wrong
Sarcasm of no value today that will End
