Premium Member Refurbished Nursery Rhymes: Rub-A-Dub-Dub

What nursery rhyme's gayer, I'm asking you, bub,
Than the one that has three grown men sharing a tub?
Was it their sexual orientation,
Or merely water conservation,
And they were all charter members of the Sierra Club?

Sierra Vista

i will miss sierra vista
but not the people
i will miss the purple peaks
and the heavy hikes to them
looking at a sprawling sunrise
while im lying wide awake

i will miss sierra vista
but not he people
cause all the good guys
that i like
are leaving with me

Shopping List

Bananas and green beans,
a lot of other healthy things.
I’ll probably get some soda pop
and I think we need a new wet mop.
If the cart has room for a new TV
I’ll splurge and get one just for me!
Frozen pizza is on my list
and 3 2-liters of Sierra Mist.
I can’t forget shampoo and soap,
That’s all my shopping for today…

Always Left Never Right

Iam always left since birth and never right always got left but never told right my family always told me leftys are amazing people when you're a doctor or an artist per-say but my intelligence always tell me I will never be right but always left behind in a sierra mist and then I will be truly missed through a right handed pitch.

Premium Member El Capitan - You Are A Joint

El Capitan - you are a joint
   Within the Sierra Nevadas
Of punctuated granite -
   A sentinel of the ages.

Sylvestris partition -
Beam of silver - or steel -
Are you a step to heaven
   Or a capstone for hell?

Stern expression of peace -
   Keeper of fortitude -
Of what would you speak?
   Would I even understand you?

Premium Member What a Curtain Bisbee Has

What a curtain Bisbee has
   That keeps Mexico subdued
And influences the lands
From which the Sierra was hewn.

What purple folds keep Oaxaca
As a fortress in the sky
Breaking only in Panama
To let a vessel dredge by.

No courier have I on hand
Except the initial breezes that blow
So a whisper I channel into it:
   Give to Colombia my hello.

It’s like the Battle of Britain he moans I can’t survive this bombardment he groans And then he said Sh*t That’s a direct hit What kind of numpty films fireworks with drones
5 November is Guy Fawkes day in the UK in celebration of Mr Fawkes and associates trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Some would say he should have succeeded.

Kid Poem :By Sierra and Elliot

This is the news
about a fox in a box,
a hare so slim so short and thin
on the prowl
the fox lets out a howl his tummy starts to growl
he begins his hunt
with a big grunt
he started to stare
with a big glare
So scarce so scared
that the fox makes a huff
the hair makes a puff
After a fight
so tight
the fox has won
The hair is dead
the fox goes to bed

Granada

I miss you, beautiful Granada
Your snow-capped Sierra Nevada
Your fountains and sweet sparkling water
Your olive groves at the foot of Nevada
And orange trees all over Granada
Your history is like no other
The view of the splendid al Hambra
High up on the hill is preciosa
Your flamenco is more flamboyant than the lambada
Oh Granada, Granada
When will we meet again Granada!

Sarah Lee

My little princess, Sarah.
We fought over names.
From Clara
To Sierra.

We bought our princess her first pair of
Shoes.
They were pink with eyes painted on front.
A rarity.
A product of a child's show based
On a parody.

Our little princess is beautiful.
Unaware
Of the state of the world.

Lockdown and still no clarity.

God blessed us with a little princess.

Hello, Sarah Lee.

Premium Member Earthquakes Tonight In Ca

Down from the Sierra they rolled.
Daughter asked, Are you kicking
my chair?
On a big couch, I sat,
Felt absolutely nothing.
There were three in a row.
Of low magnitude.
But she felt it hard.
Usually, earthquakes here,
feel or have a rolling motion.
Tonight, not so!
And no, are not a frightening
sensation.

Sierra

Successful is what I long to be
I am proud of what accomplishments I have made
Everyone says to write a story of my life
Really is life this hard for all?
Ready, for a challenge that I can try
Always trying to stay positive even in times of struggles

Clueless to where life shall take me
Already a mother at 17
Ready to write at a moments notice
Trying to succeed in life
Excited to know God
Responsible for what I have done

Sierra

I almost lost you in July
I'm glad you're here
If you do not return
I don't know what I do
Felt so empty
Without you near .
My heart could not bear
 The thought of losing
You my friend .
Anxiety kicks in
As the days go by
I cried my self to sleep
Every night
I did
Pray for a safe return
And God answered
Three months later
 our adventure begins again
It's like if I was cured.
And answering my smile reappeared.

WAR OF WORDS

W- what is it with our tongues, Sierra Leoneans
A- Always spiteful in political discussion
R- Ruthless in our quest to win.

O- Oh, if only we knew that silence could avert
F- Fires sparked from heated tones.

W- Words can wound and words can heal
O- Often, Sierra Leoneans ignore that
R- Reason can be lost in angry tones.
D- Respite meaning well, a harsh tone can spoil it all.
S- So, seek to listen, and avoid the war of words.

Macho Man Syndrome

Macho Man Sydrome

Women may have PMS,
But men have MMS
Macho Man Syndome

Not all men have this,
Plenty do and it makes life seem hard to exist
From Oil in Iraq
To Blood Diamond in Sierra Leone
Sooner or Later, Mother Earth will tell you
“Leave me the heck alone!”
Will you listen?
Of course not,
She'd have to glue your men together
Gray clouds with a dirty mist will make you surrender
When her eyes glaze at you
Maybe you'll realize there'll be no you
When it's through

Well Grounded

Earphones on and nothing playing
Music barreling in a dusty brain
Phones ringing and no one answering
Your voice was always assuming
That darkness, ever blooming
Set me free that day out in the wild
Hot, sierra brown mounds picking up trash
Empty gas station cheap as a rat
I threw my cell into the dust
The only thing with personality
The wind wouldn't carry your voice
And neither would I
And the ground assumed nothing
That is a beauty I have too long failed to appreciate
