A Kiss Like Fruit
Soft so sweet,
on my lips,
your sweet taste

As juice runs,
I do catch,
Drip drop drip.

Passionate,
to my soul,
pineapple.

Off I Go
I am tired of this rat maze surrounding me.
Time has come for me To live my own dream.
Off I go like a feather from a delusions wing;
for sweet mother nature and her hollow tree.

Parting Time
Right at our front door
Time awaits we both have dread
Severing our kindred ways
I beg you wind please
Don't blow fond memories my way
Parting time has come

Premium Member Thinking of the Civil War
Dancing to a Dixieland band, I think of General Lee
And General Sherman who led a march to the sea.
I am glad that I did not live in the south back in the day.
I cannot imagine how fast my sad feet could not run away....

The Holiest of Holiest
Edifice,
ones temple for his breath;
Pervasive force to guide until death!
Threadbare be thy mind;
Inclement in bind.
O so such-subjugation on one’s flesh,
Is like being cut up with still mesh.

Earthlly Vessel
O Cerridwen,
goddess of poetry
Lend me your ear
For I have found your earthly vessel
Blessings upon my eyes
Tenderness here lies
Bathing in the glow of a full moon
She chides me in the ways of love!

Swing Low Sunset
Chariot of fire
close your eyes and say a prayer
for it's your time to sleep.

Set and take with you
begrudging darkness of the day
trailing behind you.

The hills are calling

The Oldest Trees
As Yggdrasil stretches into heaven
Hyperion watches a new Armageddon
As General Sherman towers above
Methuselah cradles a mourning dove

Old Tjikko refuses to bend
The baobab thwarts the wind
The Tree That Owns Itself
Will never, ever be compelled

The Cedars of God remain
Despite any flood or hurricane...

The Hex Mark
Like the beauty hidden beneath the brook
It’s the simple dimples that make me smile
Or is it the drop of a drip
Off an old black bear’s back
As he chases the flip flop
Of a Brook Trout
Or is that the Big Brown
As he marks the beginning of the Hex hatch.

At These Times
To adhere to any subservience,
i kindle the whispers in my head.

To juxtapose my beliefs with the worlds,
i sit back and savor a frigid beer.

It is at these times that stately minds
 conceive the grandest of offenses.

The expansion of one’s own apreciation;
 in search of richer wisdom.

How To Catch a Cold
How To Catch A Cold

Wait until nightfall
When all is quiet
And you are alone in your room
With the cold
Sneak up on it
In the dark
With a Sherman tank
Don’t make a sound!
Take a sling filled with aspirin
Without noise
Prepare the walls with vapor-rub and love
As you move slowly around the room
Slip a pill down its throat
Pray that it stays there
While you lift it lightly
Into a box marked for colds...

Parallel
Parallel

As we crawl through her mind
I indulge in all her secrets.

if her thoughts; she laid there on a silver platter
then I dabbled a bit within each of her fantasies.

As we swaddled her lust within a blanket
I snuggled there deep in her mental bosom.

We lifted her passion up to the next level
and I ate up all her barriers built from past discretion.

The Allotment
I have been Intrusted with knowledge!
Completely incrusted with time,
Admirably holding onto wisdom,
Lost for thousands of generations.
Set free like the busting of Hoover dam.
Overflowing rapids of life altering thoughts,
Of all the great thinkers,
Hoarded up condensing it’s
Own energy from all periods past.
Released to flush the poor unsuspecting main frame for the universal nervous system,
Of yet another victim of time.

A Taste
I tasted your soul last night.

It left your essence to linger on my tongue.

Not to mention the scent that dances bare
there About my upper lip.

Or your aura’s nectar that has stained my mouth,
With fantom flavors of your character's own passion.

And then there’s that dribble of lust that clings to my chin
The same one that I dare to forget and wipe clean.

Only To be left with nothing But a dream.

I tasted your soul last night.

Premium Member Sherman the Snowman
Sherman the snowman wanted a potbelly stove of gray.
He said I want to warm my hands in an igloo today.
His relatives were negative, they tried to discourage him.
But he stood a bit taller, sucked in his gut and jutted out his chin.

He was determined to warm his hands if he could.
Wish he’d change his mind, his mother said, I wish that he would.
But Sherman wanted what he wanted, and he stood by the heat.
And he slowly disappeared, into a puddle so incredibly sweet....

Goodbye Sherman Hemsley
You starred as George Jefferson and Deacon Frye.
It's a known fact that you were one hell of a guy.
You and your TV wife also guest starred on Lois & Clark.
When it came to stardom, you definitely left your mark.

I loved to watch the Jeffersons when I was a boy.
Seeing you act was what millions of people enjoyed.
Sadly you've died at the age of seventy-four.
People are sad because you can't act anymore.

(Dedicated to Sherman Hemsley who passed away July 24, 2012.)...
