Really isn't a witness at all
But a SCAB on the behind

The Scab, Or For Donna
Covered thinly, by a bloody clot.
Unhealed.
Congealed.
Unwelcome obligations to eat, sleep, dress
fulfilled.
That your body is still here
is the best that can be said
of this,
the first year....

No Title
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it sink like an anchor at sea?
or reek like a corpse and then rot?
Does it ache like a broken bone? or scab and scar over like a battle wound?
Maybe it just spoils like old milk
or does it expire?...

Betrayal
The first stab
Barely pierced the skin,
So I let it go.
The second,
A little deeper,
A little more painful,
But still,
I forgave you.
The wound began to
Scab over,
And you broke through,
And the pain is so
Unbearable,
And I've had enough....

Mid 60's brother's band
I am a gloved "scab" on bongos and
helter skelter on county fair drums
They play their backyard hearts out
my summer of learning all instruments
Music, playing parties of various venues
two lifelong brotherly loves.
Thanks Denny....

Love's Scar
Love's Scar

Is like
a wound
With a scab
that peels..

Love's Scar..

Is like
a wound
that stings
after it has healed..

When all
has been revealed..

Love's Scar..

Is all
that's left
for us to feel..

Love's Scar..

Love's Scar..

              Clenched teeth
              harbor a growl;
     The sound is mine not yours;
     Dominant except around me;
                 Love bites;
 Incisors that leave puncture marks
       that never build a scab;
               All you say is
                  ‘Harder.’...

Eternal Lovers
I was a lover of your body,
but I am even further a lover of your soul...
Your body is missing from me,
but your soul was never absent...
Our love was not a scab
that falls over time...
An invisible, universal oil
Will Join us
skin to skin,
shoulder to shoulder
so we will duel
against each other
but beside for love that didn't cease
since it's eternal......

Skin
We look at the clean, perfect face,
feel that smoothness
against the backs of our fingers,
long to stroke it with our fingertips,
place our lips against it, sniff, rub gently.
That was yesterday.

Today, fingernails dig
into a scab on that skin.
Try to pull it off that face, let out blood?
Do you still love it,
that flesh, that skin?
That being? Today?

Premium Member I See Them
I see them in the dank and dark advancing in the midnight’s glare, slithering back from daylight’s spark. I lie awake in dark and stare at visions, long past memories, taunting me with reality’s flare. I see world-worn, torn tapestries in monotone colors so drab like cheap mottled accessories. So sharp my past, a bleeding scab, erased by morning’s vicious jab.

Finality
Oh death your sting will plea
rejoice cancerous vile flesh.
And scab bandages the angel's plea.
of bliss to rest from arrogant men.

Mode I do abhor the card
casting of my flesh moray.
Lipstick stains and gill vanguard
tears swift by tram alleyway.

My memories the broadsword
thing left to hold me to thane.
Womb called life resale abhorred
permeability train.
Headed in the quest of
finality....

Those Freezing Days
Something is coming
We are freezing
Days when we want to do everything
But all we can do is that studying and nothing
After reading exam paper we feel muzzy
And before reading it we feel buzzy
Our minds din
Then we pin
Everything seems lour
But we have to create pour
Wish it could be a strike lab
So we would have become scab
I am afraid they are coming
We are freezing
I pray to those exam days
Please go easy on us...

Premium Member Roller Coaster Ride On a Mountain Bike Trail
A gravel mountain path, is shadowed between tall
face ashen scab trunks, sprinkle occasional
carpet moss, ferns, shrubs, ivy vines, and fallen
live-in hollow logs. Underneath the aspen
crown, friends ride their mountain bikes under clear
sky. An amusement roller coaster, appear
wearing down turns and bends, mark road behind them.
      Heartbeat reverberate, swimming before them.

Premium Member Waiting For a Prayer Pt 1
The wound saddened her and the scab would not dry.

She is frayed but with dignity sews and patches herself.

Time ticks as she waits patient, alert for the door closing.

And she waits.

Her clothes are torn from too many washings.

Too many stains. They should be thrown away.

But with tenderness she tries to make it work, once more.

And she waits

If you can hear me . Now is the time for help.

Sewing her dreams one by one helps and the waiting....

Premium Member The Blight Before Christmas
The UK just sanctioned a jab
That scientists made in a lab
My best friend, Maxine
Just had the vaccine
Which left just a tiny green scab

Her husband was lying in bed
He lay there with eyes full of dread
He didn’t expect
This weird side effect
His wife had just grown a new head

Then Christmas arrived right on cue
And Santa had had the jab too
And while it sounds silly
He’d grown a new Willy
And Maxine screamed... I’ve got one too....

Walking
I walk the streets at night
Alien within
Like a scab that’s fallen
Off my skin
I feel detached

I’ve been here before
So often and never
A bolt that’s just come loose
Walking here forever
Surfaces I scratched

The cold wind
I feel within reminds me
I have known all this
I smell it in the air
The moment snatched

All is different now
Heels hard on the pavement
As corner after corner turn
Shoulder to the wheel
A feeling I can catch...

Premium Member Haunting
Stranded, half awake
on the exhausted ends
of an evening, the minds
graveyard keeper sometimes
lets occupants loose.
You can feel their cold feet
walk the corridors
inside your head,
picking over a secret
or a hidden fear, lifting
the scab of a hurt.

It becomes a familiar haunting,
in time a few become friends.
They know their way
and make themselves at home
before tiptoeing back
to their place of sleep.
It takes a lifetime to give
each headstone a name....

Torment
When will I understand protection is a unconscious mutation Feeding off a unmanned ego while angels and demons cause aberration The scab is bleeding and sliding off into the depressing depot of allegation Ugly, still hiding below the repressing master of acclamation Breathe in the fresh air of the depressive headmaster Clinical and brash he has the mind of a succubus Cleave out the abrasive control with my mind racing faster Urgent to a brainwashed child, a testimony to torment
