Sifting Sand

In his
indecision
he changed
again
Only to
become more
of what he had
— never been

Walls made of Sand

The mirror sees me
As eyes casting aspersions
I cannot look at myself
For longer than its reflection
I do not want me to crack

Grains of Sand

Catching truth in the light
or trapped by the night

The hourglass a prison
—as twilight falls

(Dreamsleep: September, 2022)

A Grain of Sand

If I carried a grain of sand
And I placed it on some distant land
I did this over a billion times
Im still no closer to eternal life

Kids and Beach Sand

making sand ball
near the ocean fall

KIDS AND BEACH SAND

Shifting Sand

Countless ages past,
On this beach of shifting sand
Great mountains once stood.
I can barely remember
The reasons for our parting.

Lifting her mask
she whispered

"I'll show you mine
                      .....if you show me yours"

Sand

Rigid tan crystals
impacted when wet.
Roughness that can scratch
upon flesh when dry.

Cosmic fun on beaches
pleasures foundation.

Eternity

"You hold Eternity in your hand!"
Boomed the ocean to the shore.
"For, in every grain of sand -
Is Earth's history for evermore! "

Premium Member Grain of Sand

Just as pearls start
as a grain of sand. So do
friendships grow. Adding
layer by layer, both change
into something that's wonderous

Sand Through My Fingers

Faster than hourglass
more sand slip
through my fingers
words I couldn't tell you
pick them up one by one

Every Grain of This Sand

Lord
i
found
this
tunnel of joy
as
i
walk
along
the
silent shore
yet
in
the palm of
my hand
shall be
every grain of this sand

Wet Sand

Playing on the beach,
Toes curled into the wet sand,
One hand shades her eyes;
Memories rise with the sun,
Years have passed since she was young.
