1950s kindergarten
cute, dark-haired girl
in jumper dress
bright red tights
walking towards me
smiling...
I run away
with sweaty hands
My day a waste
My mood is bad
I am mean and nasty
I’m a horrible cad
Don’t look at me
Better run away
I can’t remember
A much worse day.
if you run away
from youth
unsafe you are
at 60 it will be there
waiting for you
to spoon-feed her
till stomach swells

On finding a job
And claiming my spot

From being sober today
