Lost the Ring Not the Finger

My ringer finger is still with me,
Without my ring!...

Dead Ringer of a Folk Singer, Humdinger of a Gunslinger

Shot from the hip fairly, squarely true
Loaded clip but, rarely, barely drew

Tolled
James was his church’s bell ringer
Some would listen and linger.
To make the bell louder
James became stouter.
Now he’s known as a real humdinger....

Slam Bam Clean Up the Oil Man
I'm going to break that pointer finger
how long is this crap going to linger
the lies, the death, the demise
no hope for a plan revised
we'll just throw your ass in the ringer

A Ringer and Hum Dinger
Wonder if Trump ever read Mein Heir before.
She sure had been a hum dinger,
So we named her Caren Krutsinger
Have no fear;
A darling dear;
Destroyed my poem through a ringer.
My Horn's are originally from Rothenburg
ob der Tauber....

Phone
Press buttons make a call
Partake in a Zoom call
Putting someone on hold
Plenty of ringer tones
Play music, text a friend
Pick an app to peruse
Photos can be snapped too!

Quintuple Clam
here she is spoke out
doubt settling inside
here she is sharing
caring what they think
here she is waiting
rating the slow time
here she is again
penned in a type font
here she is alone
phone ringer shut off
here she is, a clam
damn, there she goes, gone...

Slow To Replenish
is that a jackaroo or a jillaroo?
I am annoyed, preferring to be called ringer.
have spent the day with a green one.
decide to escape, take a walk by the sea.
broncoing has worn me out.
1080 irritates me.
I finally revitalize, feeling replenished.
thanks to the glorious sky....

Guess Who
Who was a family show singer,
when her young daughter tried to be a dead ringer.
He brought her to life,
then she became his wife.
Her costumes were over the top.
some were really hot.
The show of three was a huge hit,
dead husband had great wit....

Maybe Tomorrow
I waitin silence,
the phone refuses to ring,
maybe tomorrow.
In disappointment
Icall the phone company,
ringer is working.
I stare atthe phone,
as if willing it to ring,
clock says 2am.
Tears filling my eyes,
I finally drift to sleep,
maybe tomorrow

Little Biddle Bee
Amber Heard's dog stepped on me
and I'm just a little biddle bee
So I stung his foot with my stinger
and gave that dog an awful ringer
Wouldn't you know my story was told
by many news outlets searching for gold
But I'm just a bee looking to be free
please don't overjudge me

The Ringer
What if age was determined
By the amount of life experiences you had
Would you be an old timer, seasoned
Or a young naïve lad?
Would you change the way you lived
Or would you be satisfied?
Would changes to your life be massive,
Or would you seek a priest to confide?
I wonder why we don't live more
Not knowing when the curtain falls
Instead we tread on egg-shell floors
As if we plan when the bell tolls.....

Enough
Fire breathing,
clenched teeth
tongue tied
I have had enough of his drug induced indifference.
Can't speak.......off with the ringer.
He says he isn't like the other druggies...
he must be special
how 'bout the one who died today
but was resucitated twice?
He wasn't like the others either...
Clearly he was special.
Enough of the pity party
There are more than just you hurting on this big lonely rock.
Get over yourself man!...

All That Tinsel
Colored lights draped over elaborate wire trees
Festive wreaths dressed in ornaments to please
Christmas songs piped in, one after another
Outside a bell-ringer chirps, Merry Xmas, brother
Yet nearly every guest room's empty
Seems no one's checking in or out
No line at the front desk either
There's hardly a soul about...
A hotel lobby's a lonely place Christmas Eve
All that tinsel's a harlot's make-up, disbelieved...

Whoever Two
The make-up and clothes
doesn't make you,
You make the material.
Your eyes bring me to live,
But your smile is a killer.
I think your dimples are the
best feature.
Your beautiful heart is a
teaser,
For me to buy a ringer for your
finger.
If I had you,
I know I would be a winner.
I wanna keep you warm during
the winter.
You are perfect in my picture.
You make me wanna stand
with you,
In front of a preacher-Mario

Bell Ringer
“You can ring my bell, ring my bell, you can ring my bell” Anita Ward
He
rings my
bell so well that
he is like an artist
at his craft because he pushes
all my buttons, but in a way sublime.
Oh, how he makes me tingle from
head to
toe.

Ear Rings
after all
these years
thinking to even
knowing that i was
never
a morning
person that
so much so i
fled from
the sun as if
blinded or burned
one of the children of
the night
but then realized
i was a dead ringer
a doppelganger for a guy
on daylight
i was saved by
the bell but he wasn't
so lucky as i shall tell you
since i had
left my job on
the graveyard shift
there was no one there
to
hear
his frantic
string pulling ringing...

Ringer Washer
Washing clothes
a long days job as the new wash machine mom had was too good to be used
a Maytag ringer in the basement was the clue
Hot water fills the larger washer as it went round and round
pulling out the clothes, piece by piece
gentle and carefully into the ringer
as it sqeezed the water out
into a new tub of hot water, up and down splashing about
then into the third tub
finally through the ringer again
almost dry
to the lines outside under a hot summer sky...
