down leaf-strewn lanes
hedgerows of inspirations
a poet’s dreaming reveals
a poetry records it well
a day preempted
Skill kisses the sand,
a game with the ocean floor;
Each move confident;
The sea tumbles with shells,
High tide reveals a check mate.
God’s spirit in each form
conceals its luminosity from itself
not for long, since love’s bliss storm
reveals the eternal light of Self
The moment the second string is cut
and the cog flies through space
until it settles on the bottom
and the third string reveals itself!
