Songs as sweet as sherry
But their off-the-stage activities
Surprising sexual proclivities
She could in the chamber resume
Her role holding off pending doom
Dianne Feinstein is fit
In the Senate to sit
If her body we’d only exhume
in the beginning,
one strives for a long impressive resume.
in the end , it comes down to
a name, two dates and a few words
on a cold stone.
you live life
some good happens
added to your resume
ultimately
abstracted in test
stamped in a rock
placed on a small dirt plot
alongside wild flowers
Got referred to a female Urologist
After which I needed a Psychologist
"I'm a licensed physician
Now resume your position!"
Next appointment? Her sister Proctologist
Watching the world being Sieged by a bunch of terrorists,
Cramming ALLAH,the prophet and religion mistakably
May shed obvious tears, however, resume ongoing solidarity.
I'm good at two things
but I don't know how to describe them
And they clash with the things that I'm bad at
Poseidon
Athena, who knows?
Blows flow, heaven
or something else.
Live
Not waste
Know those who will be your friends
Love
Without withholding
Whom who loves you
Win
Line your accomplishments
Have
All
Be the best one

Trump No Passing Grade
Did dream much while in bed I laid;
Trump never received passing grade,
And some say,
Poor resume';
Did many deals while sitting in shade.

Anticipation
Excited, expectations
Scheming, Longing, dreaming
Circumstance contorts the chosen path
Resist, reconcile, resume
Acceptance, gratitude
Contentment
Prepared My Resume'
Prepared my resume' so it could review;
All of my experience and what I knew;
Learned when read;
In a library or bed,
And understand what I can do for you.

Power's out, sure hope it's fixed soon
Got poems in my beano just bursting to bloom
Some award winning stuff
Like Shakespeare in the rough
Stardom awaits but need power to resume
Power's out, sure hope it's fixed soon
Got poems in my beano just bursting to bloom
Some award winning stuff
Like Shakespeare in the rough
Stardom awaits but need power to resume
The old people crew hastens to bathroom
even if earthquake or hurricane looms.
It’s their mission’s caper
to waste the most paper.
After relief, activities resume.

I heard the owl call my name,
and tried to answer just the same.
Not sure he thought my efforts cute;
at least he didn’t give a hoot.
Undaunted, I did then resume;
as he flew off, he asked, To whom?
Dreared Rains sing patteringly
of Joy
forgotten warmth ray and
Bluebird's tripping
fall from nest-
So high from where
once again life
shall resume When the rains whisp-

Power's gone out, sure hope it's fixed soon
Got poems in my beano just bursting to bloom
Some award winning stuff
Like Shakespeare in the rough
Stardom awaits but need approval to resume
Really want to indigo impress
Everyone reading to know you better
Strong words to give the best
Unique description denim dialect clever
Maybe I will have success
Even though with paper and pen I digress
I’m a Clydesdale no more,
or that’s what my scale said.
Now I’m not saying I’m
a thoroughbred instead,
but I’ll be right back there,
as a matter of course,
if I resume old ways,
when I ate like a horse.
A bell rings as
The Students begin
To sing. Salute to thy flag
Remain to stand as
The moment of silence begins
Stillness not a sound in the air,
It ends noise fill the room
Time for class work to resume.
Form:
Hope hankering emissive forlorn wishes
Obvious foreseen conjecture
Presume presupposed wanton
Expectation propose forecast longing

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2021©
Oh dutiful, foreboding debt
That I know I must pay
For education I must get
To pad my resume
And yet I feel like I've been robbed
For now it sadly seems
That I can barely get a job
Let alone one of my dreams
A flock of seagulls fly in the cottony sky.
Hearing its cawing in the distance.
In a sunny and warmer afternoon.
They fly near the beaches looking for food.
At sunset, resume their flight again.
Starting over the next day.
when spiritual life is low
and failure fills the air
never despair
a bruised reed He will not break
cut-off nor forsake
but from the ember glow
present a further chance
to resume the kingdom dance
a double quatrain form
