We Will Have To Hark
We Will Have to Hark

What we will do is have to hark,
At appearance seeming so stark;
Raving and raring;
Very daring;
An eagle called Clark in the park.

calling butterflies to the tropics
orchids, hibiscus, bromeliad, clivia,
lovely red hot cattails

Premium Member Ugliness
Under the skin, it lurks -
Ungodly, ungrateful,
Unjust, and raring to
Unleash viciousness with
Unconscionable acts.
Utterly devoid of
Understanding, it reeks!

Old Man Larry
Old man Larry sat by the fire
He was many years retired
He worked hard when young raring his sons
His wife had passed away on the fifth child

He called the phone company for a reply
What is wrong with my phone
Your phone is fine sir why do you ask
I ask because my sons don’t ring anymore...

Where's Everyone At?
Come on
I'm ready
Fingertips are raring to go
Arthritis won't stop this poetry show

Glasses are on
Bengay on the back
Preparation H somewhere else
Nope, those pains aren't coming back

Feet soaking in Epson salt
Coffee pot standing by
I've lost what I was thinking
This poem has gone dry!...

Caged Dragon
Rattling the cage, the raring beast twists and turns
It claws the net and filters through it a roar that burns
Its wings are constrained as the winds and sky yearns

I am off stage, opportunities missed and faint
I know my worth, my focus is strong and straight
My voce suppressed as my audience waits...

Skis, Please

Skis on my feet, I'm ready to glide,
Kicking snow, I'm gonna slowly slide,
It's been a snowy week, my, oh my!
In crunching snow, I'm raring to fly,
Now, I soar down the hill with these skis,
Going at top speed, help me stop, please!!

Premium Member Day a Rooster Got Into My Face
I had nearly left the discomfort of the barnyard with some grace
when a roaming raring rooting rioting rooster got into my face
he chased me for a mile, and I felt more than a tiny bit of disgrace.
what are you doing? Someone asked me. Um…just a little race.
that mean fowl bit my ankle, and I landed upside down on my face....

A Silent Beast
It is loyal to its rider
Moves like a flyer
It has rhythm in its stride
Over rocks and planes, it glides
Intimate with its insistent jockey
Silent in the glamour of victory
Rearing at every facer
Raring to go like a racer
Like a bovine that is freed
It is a steed ready to bleed
A knight’s wheels of conquest
A name is its only bequest...

Five Pm - a Jungle
Five PM - A Jungle

Tires screeching,
Fan belts squealing,
Bumper to bumper,
Crawling like snails,
Horns blaring,
Engines raring,
Poison spewing,
Tempers flaring,
People Swearing,
Sweat dripping,
Predators on the loose,
Darting in and out,
Running traffic lights,
Scurrying here and there,
Police in hibernation,
Five PM - It's a Jungle!...

The Poet
The blank paper blatantly lies on my desk,
Querulously staring at me,
Seemingly not getting far enough fast enough,
Distinctly posing as a scratch and sniff.

My itchy pen lying beside the paper,
Full of words and raring to go,
The meniscus not showing even an ounce of movement,
I can hear the hidden voices in the ink....

We Are the Women
We are the women..
Who full of life,
pluvial in attendance,
Fresheners in sweetness,
Tranquil decorated with flowers,
Spilling like spring,
Gleeful, like the wind
Flavored by the seasonings love,
Wavey, glowing on the sands of desire,
Adorer, lover, raring to love that never
'broken nor unfulfilled'
Flirting under fabrics texts and above!
,
So let him come to us
The one who is collecting the sea
In our evening silk..! !...

Lusts
Lusts, I'll tell you some of mine.
My lust for peace, still searching!
My lust for nature, rain or shine
My lust for life, no danger lurking.
My lust to convey that lust is fine.
I too lust for good times, caring
My lust not to hurt, especially mine
My lust for true love, raring, sharing.
A lust for procreation came in time.
My lusts, well a few, nothing daring.
As man and wife, true love sublime!
A mutual lust, which I'm not sharing....

Blind As You
To feel lonely is to not see
the nine billion people standing next to you.
To not know their warring stare
or feel their love blairing sent to you.

Where some say were only prayers
and not much for caring lent to you.
And some say were baring fears
and not much for faring next to you.

That all praise was raring up to you
and not meant for living up to you.
As each man was trusting just in you.
And each man was just as blind as you....

Shoes Galore
Shoes Galore

What can I say?
Shoes make the personality of the day
Some red, white
Multicolored and bright
Or black and elegantly mysterious
Just for the night
The travels that take are near and far
Boston, Newport, Biloxi and more
Some are high
Some are low
Many different fashions just raring to go
Shoes shout out look at me!
Buy me!
Styling in shoes
Is the way to be
Once removed, their life fades away
And patiently that await
Wear another day!...

I Have a Date- Ian Munywe
I HAVE A DATE
I have a date,
with the Shylock.
I am raring to trade,
all my valuables.
That cost me,
an arm and a leg.
For peanuts,
with which to bribe.
The landlord,
not to vacate me.
From his minuscule,
colossal castle.
A cloth in one hand,
and soap water in the other.
These gems of mine,
have got to shine.
For Shylock is,
too particular.
Even,
rather peculiar.
All has to be right,
lest in the cold I sleep tonight!
