Preacher
Pompous and blatant he preached
Rambled, cajoled
Until he was stripped of all his clothes
And, holier-than-thou
Exposed him in his own reality
In his sheer nakedness
And finally total silence...

The Wink
Saturday

finds me on a pew

of wishes, haggling among

mystic stars for an intercession.

As twilight dimmed, I rambled,

“Will my love return?”

The beams winked.

And Elijah looked down
Upon the earthly ground and
Shouted all the torrent of worry
And surrendering joy left in his soul.
In the morning he awoke to a new light,
And staggered across the wet moss
He had rambled across the day prior
when he was still stuck in the mire....

Time does not diminish our memories
They remain forever embossed in our heart
The years have quickly rambled on
Little ones have come and old ones gone
Special occasions come and go
Missing you as our families grow
May the Lord keep you in His care
Wishing you dad a heavenly birthday cheer.

Premium Member advice from the front seat
prim and proper she sits in the back seat
going to a birthday party is always a treat
Her parents were throwing advice her way
She did not care, she was here to play

She knew the birthday girl really well
The party would be super fun and swell
They rambled on and on in the front seat
She did not care, going to a party was a treat....

Sometimes I write such rambling stuff
And feel I've written enough
But I've got to restrict my rhyme
For who has the time
In this abbreviated age
To go beyond a page
To listen or read
Someone else's seed
Of thought
Which got
Magnified
And died
As it rambled on
And was gone?

Rambled Wording
Lives are lost
Souls are caught
All because of
one man's plot.

The cries
And pleas
That pierce through
The night.

Life planned out before
My birth;
Nothing I could say.

The blood
Of innocent children
Falls.

His father was
Here before.
He told us
What he had in store.

There is no peace
In this land
Of hope and freedom....

Premium Member Confession
she stood in silence-
in question, I rambled free
did she feel my love ?
If not my fleshly desire
could she find my words of truth..?
for, my bag of tricks
a gift spill from thy spirit
hope is all I need !
for within my song of praise
her love, she giveth away...

Buttercup,daisy and cowslip
Together mix in fellowship;
Swaying pelts of grasses fine
Bask in Spring sunshine.

Purple vetch,ribwort plaintain
Jostle lush clover in English rain;
Scalious,burnets protude,
Butterflies gorge their pollen food.

Hawthorn dense and tough
Amidst sweet scented woodruff;
In rambled briar sprawl
Prickly and wandering tall....

Premium Member HMO Will Only Pay for a Witch Doctor
We all stood up to let the witch-doctor work
He rambled and cried, and screeched with a jerk
Her HMO would pay for no other service but his
He has a contract with them, and it is a whiz

Other doctors stood around watching him shake
Recognizing now the sound his rattles make
He howled like a wolf and pounded the bed like a bear
No doubt the frightened lady was getting great care...

Back Home
I carried my heart far from home on a quest for love. Feeling like a well gone dry, I yearned to fill an emptiness and rambled to find rest. I sought solace in strangers, all my love spurned. For years, I searched faces and hopeless city streets, lonely sidewalks rolling out before me. After wasted time far behind and miles roamed, I learned my heart ached for who waited back home.

Bleeding Pen-I
The pen rambled across the pad
To write something untrue
Yet mind and heart did seldom see
When the pen hid it's rue.

Mind could think but heart would long, for
Insidious days to part
Yet pen would foster spilling of
Blood from the wounded heart.

Verses written in sparkling red
Couldn't sort the haze around
A poet caught in the vicious fray
Wouldn't want to be home bound.

Premium Member Day Dreaming
Looking up at the waterfall
as it cascaded into the pool
sound of running water
as it flowed downstream
his thoughts rambled
lost in a day dream
always come back to her
visions on his mind
no matter where he was
she would be there smiling
he could almost reach out
and touch her cheek
with a heavy sigh
he turned to leave
would he ever see her
or was she a fragment
of his imagination
this girl who appears in dreams....

Long Love Letter
I wrote my love a poem
but the words were much too big.
Then tried to say I loved her
as it went on like a jig.

I talked about the skyline
and how the red sun set.
Compared her eyes to pools
and things I'd not seen yet.

I opened up my heart
to tell her how I feel.
And then I rambled on
and on over the hill.

I finished with I love you
that ended in her name.
Then waited for an answer.
when this is how it came...

I Do Too...
