Camaraderie
CAMARADERIE
Chuckling without a qualm
Chemistry rare and warm
Chumminess of a kind
Comfort levels reach skies
Connect, an instant bind
Closeness, and sharing of
Convivial, fond vibes

The Circumvention
Melancholic drivel, gravitating stammer
Mosaic affinity, reticent clammer

Gushing droplets and whimpered dawn
Hindering clarity, vanquished, withdrawn

A cleaved cradle, posing qualm

Swallow the Bullet
Swallow a bullet made of lead,
Wound up dead on my bed.

Ascend toward a higher reality,
Through death, I find true spirituality.

Swallowed a bullet made of lead,
Shortly dead, after all has been said.

Though I now reside within a heavenly realm,
Seems not even angels can cure my qualm....

Premium Member A Qualm
A qualm
Settled upon me
Instant unease
I felt it
Course through
My body
Senses
Instantly
I grab my sword
Scurry
A page of words
Trying to keep up
Make sense of it all
A picture
Emerged
That broke my heart
In a way
No lady could
Yet
Her words
Creep upon my ears
"That pale sustenance, despair."
I drink
From the tankard
Again...

Cabin
The wind stopped for the forest.
My palms plump to the calm.
The silence I'd not spoken
in waiting for my qualm.

With air that's thin to cooling.
made fresh from in the Pines.
The scent of sap that's dripping
their place within the shrines.

The cabin here for comfort
surrounded by the trees.
Protected from the outside
that inside comes to please....

Autumn Bliss
A huge tree, in autumn completely bare
In my balcony, I relax and stare

It represents to me, an empty mind
One, only on salvation we can find

No possession, thoughts, attachments, feelings
Utterly devoid of earthly dealings

All alone, an epitome of calm
Blissful enjoyment, without any qualm

I deeply desire to become like it,
In the midst of world but away from it...

Premium Member The Lull
I seek the lull--
To feel the tranquility of the night
The hush of birds in calm respite
The quiet compose of ancient trees
The muted hymn on dulcet breeze
On quiescent ridge of nocturne quest
Find soothing balm on angel’s breath.
Abeyant mind, free of hurt or qualm
Opens to Christ when faith is strong
Fearfully reached to touch a lightning rod
But found instead, the hand of God....

Closed Door
Behind the door
Lies the balm
To my heart sore
That refuses to be calm

I stretch my arms
To fling it open
But the qualm
Forces my limbs to soften

 I squirm, I fret
The lack of steel
Pushes me into
The cavern of regret

The forces opposite
Squash my breath
I gasp like the fish
On the verge of death

I beg for mercy
Knowing my sin
To be born
With no strength within...

To walk on water was his conviction

Enjoyed the surf with great predilection

But the sea was too rough

And he called off the bluff

So The Lord delayed his wet addiction

When the ocean had sufficiently calmed

Jesus abandoned his hesitant qualm

But the sea intervened

Moses altered the scene

Two for one price and he went for Islam

Tom Written: by Miracle Man September 23 2021 Never one showing reluctance to opine, with sign carrying groups he wouldn’t align. His spoken position most all understood, and what he proclaimed was never a falsehood. He was never one to keep his feelings canned, and refused to dance at another’s command. Never obsessed or having the slightest qualm, he’s the same man today and his name is Tom.

Radiant Beauty
Radiant beauty abound

Sun beam, pubescent wager, thy face,
Nourishment takes, golden roseate,
Tenuring flower, non-daub
Graceful anima, display

The’ streaming into our souls,
Mise eternal, nod love
Never accord that we will
Birr mioty, universal a qualm

Sprig Eres an arrow that day
Cheshire I vidi, anearing eyes
Grin giving, es raining a pasted
Moppet of peri, pecked me a sass
I will always cherish the’ day....

lucent mind mystique
transmuting thoughts flashes on
ebon emotions

Absolved of self-qualm
psychic crystal sparkles bright
sense stars’ flare aura,
tracing prime trajectory
from cosmic soul’s vague abyss.

From the mesmeric meadow the mystified shadows shift,
sequined gorgeous glitter of seraphic stardust spreads buoyant bliss,
the discernment mindscape absorbs the existence halo.

Ruffled
I envy a cool and calm person,
Unruffled by all of life's stress,
Who takes things in stride and never will hide
From impediments to her success.

It's hard to be that type of being,
So centered and quiet and calm,
Who will watch things unfold and will never lose hold,
Owning neither a worry nor qualm.

Of course, I am far from that person
Who rolls with the punches, serene.
I get flummoxed so fast that you might be aghast
By my feathers, too ruffled to preen....

COPLA 91 INVOCATION : This Bad Guy World

Not on whose coat-tails hang the Yang
Other values than lip-service count :
Nor country birth

Wave no flags at Death’s door crying « Bang ! »
True bravery quenches staunch souls’ fount :
Denial’s worth

Harm’s wrong however right the cause
Refusing timely help’s likewise an arm :
Do souls alarm

Even intentions turn to grouse
If kept from keeping neighbour warm :
Yin feel no qualm

Thoughts On a Rainy Morning
The fury of the rain

Was unleashed on the pane

Though the glass and water looked same

They tried to each other tame

The glass was cold or calm

Was the question causing the qualm?

The rain, did it stand for anger

Or was it trying to soften this stranger?

Both for a while stood unrelenting

Till a hand threw open the windows

Letting the glass, to fury condense

And turn misty under the rain’s touch intense...

COPLA 108 RESOLUTION : This Bad Guy World

The question’s not which the real god is
The question’s how to learn to do good :
Abhoring harm

The good despite gods still the good is
The good need not be labelled « Good ! » :
Harm feels no qualm

Bad Guys will claim their lives in danger
Excuse to put Good Guys underground :
To be polite

Bad Guys too struggle to defend manger
Against other Bad Guys wanting more ground :
Babes in the night

Sore and Bleeding
Sometimes
it feels like
a mauling
these bits and pieces
you extract from me
like a parasite feeding
sucking from my being
my life force without
permission or qualm-
this is my life,
my precious life
if you must feed from me
consume all of me
please, don't leave me
grossly deformed
skinless, raw
pinked fleshed,
wet, sore and bleeding
open to infection
where yellow pus ooze
the scabby scabs scabbed over
and over and over again.
let me live whole
or let me die whole....

Quagmire
Adroit in this quagmire so meticulously infused
I yield yet the ground beneath me moves
Alone in a room of people I stand confused
Attune in this menagerie so materially abused
Seclusion notwithstanding I relinquish, capitulate, cede
Devoid of qualm I succumb daftly to the lure revealed
Subdued by my rivalry I prevail, endure, exist
Simply a nuance of distinction I concede permit
Infantile I accede yet somehow circumspectly survey
Surreptitiously I allocate the acquisition of the day...
