The Lull

I seek the lull--
To feel the tranquility of the night
The hush of birds in calm respite
The quiet compose of ancient trees
The muted hymn on dulcet breeze
On quiescent ridge of nocturne quest
Find soothing balm on angel’s breath.
Abeyant mind, free of hurt or qualm
Opens to Christ when faith is strong
Fearfully reached to touch a lightning rod
But found instead, the hand of God.

The "Lull" I equate to my lines and spaces. It is the nospace where inner peace takes over and your blessed Christ reveals himself. You are so deep and beautiful. Love, daver

I'm so very excited, you will LOVE this painting, Daver! :) It's wrapped, but still needs an outside covering. No longer had a frame, but still the best part was left behind. Le Chat Noir had been a cabaret frequented by Picasso. You'll see why.:))

Hi, Mikki. We had, I hope, our last big snow storm. I'm ready for spring. Even the cats don't want to stay out long. A King Kong hug from Old Dave

Here's one I missed, Mikki. It's like an unexpected gift. "The muted hymn on dulcet breeze." A regular hymn of praise the poem seems. You are so gifted. And it is rare to find one of your ability. Please write some more for us. A bear hug. daver

How lucky I am to find one with no comment from me and shame on me for missing it. Just reading this gives me a feeling of peace and quiet but those last two lines are electrifying. Another beautiful write Michelle.
