Oh! Nemesis!!

The guilty ones escape unscathed,
The innocents are relentlessly punished
The fools are adorned,
The wise are scorned.
Oh! Blind Justice,
Of Goddess Nemesis!!

Punitive By Cristie Rivera 8th Grade

Punished because I was
Underage and drinking.
Not the fault of my friends.
It's my FAULT!
The car crashed
In flames and ended in a
Very powerful
Explosion!

Pain and Relationships

There is no chance of pain,
No one knows relationships.
Both of them meet in free today.
When will they be punished,
Solving these puzzles too
is not a matter of everyone.

So Be It

I believe I’m being punished
for fostering Love and Commonsense;
All my life
I dealt with people
who had neither!

In school, Maxwell never paid attention
Got punished with maximum detention --
  They seized his smartphone
  Maxwell moaned and groaned --
But, Wow! ~ Did it improve his retention!

Premium Member Nobody said growing up was easy

A child your age should know better.
You know exactly why you're being punished.
I hope you never do that again.
Let this be a lesson you'll remember.

Fault of Tongue

In “Helping hand”
If it’s hand not the man helped
In Paradise, fault of tongue not Adam,

If the tongue is burned and punished from the Hell fire all Adam’s people,no doubt go to Paradise!

3 Haiku For Jamey

1.
alone, the boy cries
he is no longer loved
because he is gay

2.
the hall is unsafe
punished in the name of god
he hides how he feels

3.
we hear on the news
of a suicide
who was there for him?

I Watched the 'Titanic' Three Times In a Row Already

I watched the "Titanic" three times in a row already
And I now understand why the vessel had to sink.
Two people on board had sex before their wedding,
So God punished them for such an appalling sin!

Paper People

Hills crowd close yonder,
My cries echo back & forth-
Th' void in my heart.

Blameless Sunday night,
Punished nonetheless: by your
Selfish Monday gloom.

Love does not live here,
Not anymore; ever since
We became brothels.

Serpent Woman

Mirrors remind her she must live alone
Everything she sees, she turns to stone
Dismal future she now faces
Ugly snakes upon her head like laces
She is a gorgon, Medusa is her name
Athena punished her, for beauty was her shame

Annihilated

Gone
Without
Awareness
Consumed by smoke
Flames crackle loudly
Glowing blue, and greenish
As heights increase full with life
Spreading rapidly miles ahead
Incinerating those in its path
Why don’t natural disasters get punished?

Two Little Ducklings (Written By a 9 Year Old Girl)

Two little ducklings
Went on a journey
Because they were looking for their Mother
They went in the pond
Then they saw a Mommy duck
Then the Mommy duck punished
The two little ducklings
Because they are not supposed to leave home

Mourning Winter

Frosted window panes
chilled in the biting cold.
Stillness in two ice-kissed lips
pale like the winter snow.

Heavy isolated darkness
punished raw in truth foretold.
Surrounded by the silence,
"She's really dead..."
"I know..."

Tomorrow Will Not Hurt Less

There are lights, and sounds, and everything in between.

From now on- I will not be allowed to nap.

I will be forced to withstand what it is to be alert.

And stay upright.

Welcome new one.

Welcome to what it is to be punished for your bad luck.

Punished By

If you slip and fall,
If you see my soul,
If the serpent snaps,
If you slice its vein,
Feel my tempered rage,

For I am cruel,
For you are mine,
For in this hex,
I spit my tooth,

Nerve Exposed,
vengeance late,
Cry for me,

Bruises,
Shining,
Faith.

Premium Member Am I Getting Punished, Mom

He looked so lonely, lying there
        Even his rags shivering
I thought he was asleep ...

But just as I put the ten-dollar bill
in a crevice in his cup

One eye seemed to open, and he smiled
~ I felt so warm inside

The Disney Dream

I wanted to be a Disney Princess
but I forgot it went like this
Cinderella was always punished
Jasmine and Ariel had protective fathers
Rapunzel was locked in a tower
Aurora was hidden away

They all got their prince eventually
and lived happily ever after
I just have to hold on

It Angers Me

As I dream of the life
I wish I had,
It angers me,
And it makes me mad.
To think I'm stuck
With this life,
With no daughter
Or wife.

I'm being punished
For what I've done,
So I must suffer
For what's a pun.
These are cruel games
That are being played,
On a man
Whose bed's been made.
