I'Ve Never Known To Love
This language, it startles me.
To think that one may speak
while the other may listen
Is preposterous.
I’ve never known to love
But it seems to make more sense here....

Tis preposterous to me
To suggest that we
Are the brightest beings in space;

I believe
That aliens keen
Have quarantined our race....

On Politicians Keep a Lid
On Politicians Keep A Lid

On Politicians we should keep a lid,
And they always act like a little kid,
Preposterous,
Like rhinocerious;
Who we must forbid and of get rid.

Crown
There is right and there is wrong
There is the fool and there is the king
But often times it's hard to tell
Which is which
Because both wear a crown
And both declare preposterous things...

Yellow Rhinoceros---For Josie
Yellow Rhinoceros

I once saw a yellow rhinoceros
And everyone said, "That's preposterous!"
But soon they all went
Because of the scent
He'd farted and it smelled like phospherous!

Deceit
Deceit
You falsify the truth.
As you stammer across your words.
To employ a hateful militia.
With your manipulative lies, & extortion.
That’s your way of suppression.
Of preposterous imminent immorality of deceit....

What?

Preposterous, you said?

No, my dear friend!

It is not preposterous to live and die for love

But

To live and never be able to love, certainly is!

Either Cpmforting Or Absurd Word
Either Comforting Or Absurd Word

Best thing that I had heard occurred,
Could be considered comforting word;
Was apprehensive,
And also, sensitive;
Those from Trump were totally absurd.

Preposterous..?

To our conditioned selves
The proposition of our
Thoughts originating beyond
Our limited body and brain
Seems..well..preposterous..
It remains preposterous
Until life circumstances
Render a new Recognition
Slowly or quantum quick
Of What we are......

She
Preposterous, I am not a junk-food addict!
The recipe was good;
The presentation was great;
The final dish, however, was disappointing.
It could have used a teaspoon full of warmth
And maybe a dash of humor.
A crowd pleaser, at first, to be sure,
But not worth the effort....

Solitude.
Fight all we must.
Keep shackles away
Even from the vicinity
Of where our minds may stray.

Counter if you must
Resist what's innate
For what meets the eye
Is just another bait.

Preposterous are these bonds
For they bind no more than lies
Prudence rests with those
Who let solitude suffice....

The art of figuring it out
Does it matter if I do
My existence is so fleeting
It seems preposterous to care

There must be some
Description to suit this
Perhaps Monty Python's
Life of Brian

I'm not in crisis
I'm just a very philosophical girl

Ahh this poem went off

Premium Member King Minto
Elevating him to king
was what we all desired,
so, one foggy June -
nonseasonal, we did.

The crown, unsteadily,
found its way to Minto's head,
and we all cheered
"Long live, long live!"

The fog made it hard to see
what was going on,
and Minto began swearing -
what a preposterous carry on!

On Golden Wings
On golden wings I go and do not know,
What treasures lie so greatly in the sky.
Questions linger on the lips;
A pink- no red, which now would be perverse-
To shatter bliss with preposterous sound!

Oh, I am bound,
Bound for light’s unspeakable truth,
So shut my mouth shall stay,
Until I may just lightly place a foot upon a cloud....

A Difference In Opinion
A Difference in Opinion

There once was a conversation
Bickering about something,
Something somewhat preposterous.
The two fought
 side on side
Left on right
When in the end they agree to disagree
cause both are too obstinate, mulish, and pig headed
There all of these at once because no one would listen.

In a Pickle
I'm in a preposterous pickle
Caught up in a pitiful plight,
Hands raised in a sign of surrender
Enmeshed in a garment too tight!

I'm bleating a plea for assistance
But nobody answers my call,
As changing room cubicles whisper
'She tried on a dress far too small!'

Pathetic Humans
Hate
just, as usual, a preposterous excuse
an excuse it is
it's one indeed..
one you pathetic human use to escape
for an escape is all that maters to you people right?
right?
an escape to everything...an escape from facing your fears
the fear of confronting that one dude or girl
why hate?
just do it
confront.

"She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man."

What shall we make of Genesis 2: 23b
As it is written, it seems preposterous to me.

Time has proven quite the opposite is true
Despite how accepted the literalist point of view.

Midwives and OB-GYNs throughout our history's span
Have never brought a woman from the womb of a man.
